The group has formed, and we're meeting on Sunday the 19th for the first official time. I have info on it in my journals. :3 We'll be called "The Jersey Discords", and I'll be unveiling the first group image at the meet.

After this first meeting, I'll be setting up a proper Meetup page, once I figure out all the intricacies of how to go about it.

Yay! Might have to try and save up for a sculpt of one of my 5 current OCs: Fleece, Tawny Pride, Cat's Claw, Bunsen, and Helix. Probably the lunatic geneticist pony, Helix, part of Discord's Army. Or perhaps the mysterious and malevolent Cat's Claw, who is actually a wicked leonine demon in pony guise! She has a major crush on Discord, since they're both so cleverly evil! ;3

I will unfortunately be unable to make it, I'm going to Katsucon to peddle nerd wares. However, I will most definitely be joining the meetup page and do my best to attend future meetings.

The next one will either be in May or July, depending on whether we wish to make the meeting quarterly or triannual. Since it's still small and inexpensive right now, I'm leaning toward quarterly (which would make it mid-May) for the time being; after which the growth rate will determine if I start scaling down the number of meets. Larger meets take more time to set up and more complex reservations and numerous other factors. 20-25 attendees is the level I can manage on my own.

After that, if it were to grow even more I'd need at least one close-by assisstant for the next group size, which is between 25 up to around 50. After 50, the meetup would graduate to 'small convention scale', which takes it up to around 200.

I'm hoping it WON'T get that big! I've helped with Anthrocon (the largest furry convention) for 12 years, and watched how the complexity of organization drastically intensified as it grew! It'd be too much for poor little me!

No, I'm quite fine with a nice little comfy 20-25 attendee group. :3

You're welcome! Did you happen to see my reworking of "The Last Unicorn"? It's now "The Last Alicorn" and follows the idea that Twilight Sparkle is being prepared to ascend to an alicorn and will one day succeed Celestia and Luna, as they are not truly immortal in this idea, but merely very long-lived.

I wish to sing it when my voice recovers from a bad cold.

Indeed! I was glad to meet you as well! I may have a new convert in the family who also lives in Pittsburgh. After Anthrocon in mid-June, we all must meet for beers! Probably two of my regular roomies will be along too: one from Britain, one from Ireland. They're the ones who convinced me to watch MLP:FiM in the first place. I tell you, any show that can bring a Londoner and an Irishman together MUST be something spectacular! ;D
