Hi Driz! Welcome to dA! Thank you so much for your kind words. The key is practice, but making your practice not seem like work. I would always draw animals in the margins of my notes at school when I was bored until I ended up being good at it. Also looking up anatomy and techniques as you go, because going at it alone may only imbed errors.

IΒ was always wary about posting art my family and friends saw irl so I kept it unposted, but now I feel more confident and wiser. Pretzel selling went well. I guess I already sent you the pic of me in a dirndl. And I guess you know what happened at Blind Date..... But the birthday party was fun. I was always a twin and had to share my birthday so it was nice to have 100 (half strangers) people singing happy birthday to me in a random sweaty basement. And then we started singing our pirate chant afterwards which I wanted.

Hm, I might consider it. But I don't really consider FotV to be one of my recent works anymore. Of course, I'd like to absorb even more praise for it, but it kind of already won fic of the year in 2014. I'm proud of like the last 2 chapters of FotV which are as good as anything I'd wrote today. But the first 20 chapters is cringeworthy in terms of how reasonably the people act. Like, what on earth caused Gilbert to fall in love with Elizabeta anyway? xD Certainly she wasn't that special. There's plenty of inaccuracies I picked up on too.Β And romanticizing an SS soldier like that would get me a lot of hate from an decently educated audience and Gilbert is definitely the sexy dangerous man in black at points. It was excellent for a 15 year old, but I won't be able to hide behind that excuse here. Thanks for letting me know, though. Maybe I'll submit it just for shits.

My last dentist told me they would probably never come out and now this one tells me one of them is infected and they've started to grow into the side of my other teeth (like wisdom teeth always do when you don't have room for them in your mouth.) So fuck me xD

I remember on easter, when I was like 11 or so and growing out of the phase where I was allowed to participate in the easter eggs hunts, it was my job to fill dozens of plastic eggs the night before with candy and hide them. But my parents would allow me to take a few eggs during the hunt as long as I didn't hoard them from the younger kids with my superior egg hunting/running/spotting skills. So I put all of the Reese's eggs in the plastic eggs with the green shells, this way if I was only allowed to take say 10 eggs, I could only take greens and maximize the amount of Reese's I'd get. Also I picked green because I thought it would be hardest for the other kids to find in the grass. Oh was I evil.
Yeah, same here, my dentist thinks I don't have them and my orthodontist thinks I do. Always different opinions. I heard dentists like to have wisdom teeth removed sometimes unnecessarily or before they become a problem because they make the most money off that procedure and try to tell you it's a bigger problem than it is. But at least after having them out you can eat lots of ice cream?

I saw a lot of the political maps already, but the bottom cut-apart ones are cool too.
My favorites are the Wine-Beer-Vodka one. You know, I feel like beer is the widest consumed alcoholic beverage, but I never thought of the small slice of europe that originally agricultured it. But Denmark up to Finland I think needs to be included in that beer swathe. Unless is hiding something from me.

Though what might have been even funnier was Greece thinking that were the most hard working people... Yeah right, Greece, you're drunk.
The wine-beer-vodka is some of the ones I found pretty inaccurate - also the one with which religions the countries mainly practice (since Ireland was placed incorrectly and that's just something you know and so it's weird they make that mistake. They're catholic to the bone.)
Danes drink a lot of wine - especially young adults to elders. Vodka is mostly kids and beer is for everybody. But I would DEFINITELY say we drank more beer even though vodka is popular among the heavy drinking kids. They drink their share of beer too along with pretty much any other Dane out there. I'm not sure about Norway and Sweden. Finland should stay on the vodka side, though.
HAHA, yeah xD I thought the plumber one was funny. I had no idea. I agree that most can't fix their own sink here, but most know someone who can fix it for you. I don't think the majority actually pays to get it fixed. Which means there must be plenty of people who knows how to fix... nah, I'm not really sure. I've never had troubles with my sink yet... I'm positive I can't fix it myself, though

Oh no, it was a post I reblogged back by halloween. I remember the time because I reblogged it from my phone in healthclass one day when we had a sub and we were working on our flour baby project, which was around then. I went through my archive twice trying to find it, I thought it was so great. It was a bunch of little hand drawn gifs 'what northern europeans think of southern europeans.' Just the way the little people were drawn, I loved it.

Yeah! Pretty funny how it was basically Germany for all of the good qualities, and Greece and Italy alternatively for the worse ones xD. Every country had Germany as most trustworthy except Greece, who put them as least. 'why how dare those nazis demand we pay them back our loans that we spent on eurovision when our ancestors invented the marble COLUMN four thousand years ago!'
Yeah, I think they thought adding little pockets, like for Ireland, would ruin the aesthetic. They did it once for Poland with the Catholicism and I guess the artist thought it took away from the simplicity of it.
