Hello! It's "Glass Week" in the Artisan Craft club and I decided to write a journal featuring the glass artists that I watch and admire. You are part of that list! I hope this is okay with you... check out the journal entry here [link]

Wow, what an incredible gallery you have, but I looked on your etsy shop and saw you have a stained glass guitar, but its not on here?
The guitar looks amazing, I reallylike the strings that you applied, I made a guitar but without any strings and mine feels a bit empty!

I sort of control two Etsy shops. I work for a stained glass studio, so the cross and the guitar are on their Etsy site. And actually did the guitar, but he no longer works here. Since I did this cross on company time, it's theirs. My Etsy shop is www.celtcraft.etsy.com. Thank you!

Well I am offically jealous, I wish I could work for a stained glass studio, I've compleed a course and I throughly enjoyed it all.
I checked out your etsy shop and your fused pieces are beautiful, I esepcially love this one - [link] the detail in it is exquiste, how did you manage to make it? (If you don't mind me asking?)

Not at all! I used a piece if dichroic glass, applied a stencil to it, then etched the dichro out in that area. Capped with clear then fired. There are also places out there that laser etch dichro and sell the etched dichro pieces for you to use, and CBS themselves do the "reverse", put dichro patterns on pieces of glass for you to use.

Wow thanks for sharing! What did you use to do the etching? Acid or cream?

This one was done using good ol' etching cream, Armour Etch to be specific.

I joined the Air Force, fell in love, and now travel around with him. I have a lot of family still there in Layton.
