No I have not. But last year one the grades above me in the orcestra played Viva La Vida so that mostly inspiried me to start playing modern songs that are well known. Next year we get to play songs from movies and video games like Pirates of the Carribean so it'll be awesome. . . . Just looked them up real quick (Vitamin String Quartet.) Wow they play alot of songs I know. That is soo cool!

Yeah, my boyfriend was playing Portal with his mate and was "very nicely" ignoring me.

I love when orchestras play "ordinary" songs! My favorite is when bands actually work with orchestras - definitely gives the songs a better sounds.

Heehee! Tell me what you think of Vitamin String Quartet if you listen to a few songs- I like 99% of the things they do

Yeah, I like how they did "Blister in the Sun" because the singer's voice kind of annoys me so I liked it better as a quartet. I also liked "Nine in the Afternoon", "Paint it Black" and "With or Without You" they're awesome! I didn't find much on the music website I go on though. I'll find some more on Youtube or some other website.

I found sheet music for Uprising by Muse so I'm excited to start practicing it! And Im hoping it will download right! I just don't want to pay like $10 for one song and I found it free so I'm crossing my fingers! :S

Heehee. I love their stuff! Haven't had a chance to listen to much of it for some reason though... guess I should have remembered when I was on my YouTube kick till 1 in the morning last night. It did take me a while to get use to the lead vocal in "Blister in the Sun" so I know what you mean, ahah!

Ohmygooosh! Did you start practicing Uprising yet? The first time I heard this song I totally fell in love with it. It needs to be in a movie if it hasn't already; except I already know what kind of scene I'd want it to be in... so maybe it's best I just write my own screenplay? Were you looking to download the song or the sheet music? Cuz I can easily just e-mail you the song.

That would be cool. I have the webpage for the song to download it. At the moment my computer sucks so I have to wipe my computer and stuff save all favourites and all so it will be a while until I finially get to practice! I hopethe sheet music I found it what I'm looking for. It was a piano version so I do hope it works. Piano and violin are both treble clef so I always look towards piano sheet music for recenet/popular songs. If it doesn't work I'll let you know. Thanks though!
