Ehhhh it's a mess rn bc it's TECH WEEK   and I haven't done all my hw buuuuuut I'm really excited for the show to open!! ps: my costume is the coolest it's like a black tshirt with a green sweater over it and a long green skirt that's really fun for dancing and my fav part is the SHOES they're little boots with pointy ends and they make a really cool sound with the heel they're so great s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/7… <--- like picture that but the toe is pointy and it doesn't go up over the ankle

OOOOO THATS A CUTE COSTUME AND wOAH YOU CAN DANCE? WOW IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DANCE BC IT WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE BUT IM REALLY BAD AT REMEMBERING AND FOLLOWING STUFF OOPS
My costume consists of a dark blue floor-length gown with a little rose at the sash and I think we get to put silver ribbons in our hair I'm not too keen on the gown tbh but I hope the ribbon is gonna be cool lol
Oh yes and the shoes are court shoes and I still have not gone to get mine yet help the guys get blazers and leather shoes which I would very much prefer for 1. The aesthetic 2. Guess who actually has a blazer and shoes that could pass from prom last year OTL I have to spend extra money now

IKR we have two more shows tomorrow but tonight's show was amazing, some of the numbers were better than we've ever done them in rehearsal!!
OOHH wait what show are you doing?? Oh awesome you got into the choir I'm so proud of you!!!
Yeeeahhhh I can kinda I mean I've only been taking formal ballet lessons for a few years but I think I'm pretty okay and I do really love dancing. OMG there's this awesome dance number in Urinetown that's like my favorite part of the whole show and it's AMAAAZING the choreographer did it like in the style of West Side Story and it's so much fun (the song is called Snuff That Girl you should look it up it's awesome!!)
Ohhhhh that sounds so pretty! Oh but yeah, gendering costumes is so boring (and you have to buy your own costumes? )

Hehh not really but we do have to get our own shoes and I'd probably ask if I could use my own blazer but I can't wear a blazer on that night anyways so

Update: the girls are still scared to eat in front of guys and are ashamed of their periods ((we never had that problem in an all-girls school and… dang the gender thing hit hard)), the guys make jokes against feminism, the girls who are scared are slowly warming up to me ANDDDD one of our group leaders from older grades is… really cute. And talks to me a lot and is super nice to me in general. I think I'm going to melt I've never felt this way before ((okay I have but not to this extent)) this isn't who I am but with this kid……… d@@@@@@MMMMMMMMNNNNN~~~

sameeeee no it's the girls who don't eat in front of them I mean im pretty sure misogyny messed stuff up for them earlier but it makes me so disappointed to see that the feminist culture im so used to in an all-girls school is absent here. like the girls are passive about it and the guys are just.... they think they're entitled.

I've received my homeroom class list and ive gotta say the kids there are better individually. I've made some friends real quick, there's a fangirl who isn't afraid to laugh herself stupid, another visual arts student who doesn't remember names very well and gave us all nicknames ((mine's Tiny Batman because she said I reminded her of David Mazouz on Gotham when I mentioned I watched it aaaa)), a really quiet girl who is just happy to be included and another girl who just hangs around the visual arts students. There are two or three other girls who are really nice too so that's great, I guess. The downside is that the rest of the other girls ((which is like half of them)) are FLIPPIN HOMOPHOBIC and I kinda got reallyyyyy offended with the stuff they were saying sometimes. They can be kinda rude I guess but ehhh i'll just steer clear I guess I don't think making enemies in college is wise tbh. not so sure about the guys but I do hear sexist/homophobic comments being thrown around here and there even if they seem like ok people.... I guess most of them are still not mature yet ugghh

OKAYOKAY SO I HAD MY FIRST COLLEGE PARTY TODAY LIKE THE COLLEGE ORGANIZED A PARTY JUST FOR FRESHMEN AND IM SCREAMIN IT WAS LITERALLY LIKE THE BIG FUN SCENE WITHOUT THE ALCOHOL AND DRUGS AND SEXUAL STUFF LIKE THEY WERE BLASTIN THE STEREOS THE KIDS FROM HIGHER GRADES WERE LIKE PERFORMING FOR US AND ALL LONG BUT I WOULDNT COUNT IT A CONCERT AS MUCH AS I WOULD COUNT IT A PARTY LOL BC EVERYONE WAS JUST HANGIN AND DANCING AND SINGING AND STUFF and ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you wouldn't guess who keeps standing beside me in group photos and who I got a picture with at the party today

Yeah, I definitely feel that. Unfortunately it's never gonna be perfect, which really sucks. But again, just remember that you do not have to put up with your friends being offensive to you, you deserve to be respected and to have your identity respected.

I… wow there was a really sexist conversation going on in homeroom today like
Some guy asked his friend "would you rather date a girl with a nice bod and a face that doesnt match or vice versa" and everyone joined in like wow what a great way to sum us up why are those so important anyways
I wanted to call him out but I wasnt actively participating in the conversation so I kinda just bit by lip and let it slide but ughhhhh we're seventeen not ten and even so ten year olds should be taught otherwise

Yeah, a couple! She's in my Spanish, English and Art, and just transferred into my math (she was in a lower math but talked to some teachers and managed to get transferred into a higher level with me )
She recommended this book called Lexicon which is about like people who can manipulate others and convince them to do stuff? Something like that? Idk I haven't read the book yet but it sounded really good haha
It's alright! I've had kind of a lot of work, but I really like a lot of my teachers. How's your school?
I'm sick rn btw and I'm planning on taking a day off tomorrow which I can't wait for lol even if I spend most of it sleeping and doing homework

Yeeahhh, I suppose, but I think she mainly stayed with Orin out of fear (I think I remember her mentioning that if she left him he'd get angry and there'd be no one to protect her) which doesn't really count as loyalty, and tbh her loyalty to Seymour never really came into question that I can recall? 
I mean tbh you could read her character as Gryffindor, Slytherin, or Hufflepuff depending on how you interpret her actions... like she could be a Gryffindor because she wanted to bring Orin to justice but wasn't capable of doing so (and afterwards she was glad he was dead, but this doesn't reaaally hold up because she felt guilty for being glad that he was punished, which doesn't strike me as very Gryffindor, and also she didn't seem too bothered that Seymour had killed Orin and Mushnik when he told her, which doesn't seem very Gryffindor either); or she could be Hufflepuff because she was (apparently) loyal to Seymour and Orin, she (apparently) worked hard in the flower shop (I guess); or you could see her wanting to get out of Skid Row as an ambition thing, and call her a Slytherin (and also she has the self preservation thing with not wanting to leave Orin because there would be no one to protect her). But tbh none of these are very strong and I don't feel good about going with any of them.
