I refuse to be anyone but the first to wish you a happy birthday! Which means I'm doing so four days too early. Which some may see as cheating. I disagree, because the rules mean nothing. So if you have read this far, don't read the next sentences until your actual birthday.
Happy birthday you magnificent goofball! You and your work and just everything you've put out there has had a positive effect on my life, and I honestly wish I could meet you just once so I could shake you be the hand and thank you for making so many bad days good and so many good days better. This seems so lame to put in writing, but I've read and reread your work at least every couple months when I'm feeling down or in need of a good laugh. I hope I've at least come close to expressing here just how much I really consider you a damn good friend, deserving of the highest of fives and the most festive of birthdays. So have one!!

Man, I send my thoughts and feels to you. My mother died in October, bro, and it's more than the bottom of your world, it takes some of the walls, too, when it falls out.
As for you not being the most silly of folk anymore, well, it'll come. It's a form of happiness, and mine avoids me for random durations at a time. I think of it as when you wake up, and nothing's special, except you realize EVERYTHING is special. And, before your sleepy mind even comprehends that, you're happy. I'm probably wrong with the 'why', but you do need to wake up happy. Trust me, it'll happen again and you'll feel as if you've been healed. SOOOO MUCH cynicism flew out of me the day I woke up happy, naturally happy for the first time in over a year.
Please, don't think I'm playing at fully understanding you, but I felt quite compelled to leave this comment here. I hope you read it, it'd make whichever day I found it out on really nice.

I don’t comment much but I love your stories. I lost my dad about 2 years ago and I went though some thing similar I couldn’t cry. I questioned my faith every thing seemed wrong with out him. I felt like going insane I was just so angry with every thing even myself. I tried everything to get my happiness back when someone told me something that brought joy back to my heart and made me feel good again.

For almost two years I've been following you and your stories. I and all your other fans have watched as you wrote, shared your life with us, and encouraged others.
