I'm glad I've found another way to look at your picture.
I teach in a private school full of boys from well off backgrounds and one thing I frequently say to them is that "The days of waste are over" and I'll explain what that means when asked.
Sadly the days of waste are not over yet but they need to be.

Maybe we are far too concerned about individuality to such a degree that it has become a mental illness, maybe we should see ourselves as nodes that are parts of a social organism, dynamic constantly interacting evolving and changing, a complex input output system that is simply part of another complex input output system and we dance our way through this huge symphony of action and reaction constantly learning to live our lives adapting our dynamic responses rather than trying to establish fixed entrenched positions.
