Guess you got alot of messages all the time, but I was wondering.
what ind of camera do you use? And do you take pictures during firefights and engagement? Is there any rules for that? 'cause I have a dream to become a military photographer down where the war is going on, and show something. Is there any rules or guidelines? You became a bussy man I understand

Bah.. I've been through them all already... I just had to start deleting all the fav's messages unfortunately... I wish I had the time to say thank you to everyone, but I regretably don't..

I have a Nikon D80 and D2H in my camera kit. We're upgrading to D300s in a few months... I can't wait! If there was an engagement I would 1) Have to stop myself from not helping the people I'm with kill the other guys.. Getting shot at irritates me .. and 2) try to take all the pictures I could of it. I'm a combat photographer/journalist right now - so I have free reign to take pictures of whatever I want as long as it's not classified. Decades from now the photographs that the combat photographers take will be used to piece together what happened in this war just like they were in WWI and II. I can go where most people can't .. I just hold a camera in my hands and say "I'm public affairs ... " and they let me in... A camera's the best badge ever... Plus.. I'm known at a lot of bases around Iraq, so it's easy to get from base to base and cover stories.

Oh, I see, well mate, that's very interesting. Thank you. Is there any special education (though I live in Norway, but what the heck), or is it just regular soldier training, and you got a camera and get the clearence?

The photos of me in gasmask- I bought that off the net a while back. All the ones with the SAS - they're in a group called redtroop, they were in my town promoting a model shop (as in toy models lol) and I just happened to see them parading around from my house. Right place, right time I guess I've always loved military stuff and learning about the war... and now I'm trying to act on my interest a bit more
