TF2!!! HAHAHAHA. YES//
I figured you played WoW. Everyone does. But I was not expecting a shooter like TF2...Hell yeah. Never got into Valve's multiplayer; I liked the little I played of TF2.
But their SP is BAD ASS. Half Life = Greatest SP game-play in its genre IMHO.
Cannot wait for HL: Ep. 3 to come out.
I liked Call of Duty (2, MWF, MWF2) and Battlefield the best for multi-player shooters.

There are so many games I'm missing out on.. The ones I've played [extensively] in the past year or so arrrreee
Portal- fantastic, but I completed it too easily.. Puzzle-like games are always a win.
Fallout 3- a favorite.. Love the post apocalyptic games.. Finished it and all of its expansions in 2 days though..
I can already tell this is going to get long.. so.. err.. I'll just start listing them off. WoW, Oblivion, L4D2, and Assassin's Creed.
I started off mostly with fantasy/rpg..but I'm starting to get really interested [and good] in fps games.
ANYYYWAYS I'll look into Half Life

Never played Fallout 3, wish is was as big as Oblivion. I played oblivion a TON and loved that game to death. Maybe FO 3 has changed. I played it on 360 and did not get too into it. It prolly rules on PC.
I am prolly really rusty in my FPS skills.

I would DEFINITELY recommend playing F3 on PC.. Really just love that game. The VATS part is questionable.. some people love it, some can't stand it. Didn't bother me enough to keep me away from the game, though.

I feel I would have to rely less on the VATS if I Was on PC with that game...I could not aim for sh*te on the 360 version.
