Hi Briana,
Unfortunately I never went to Seattle nor to US. I've strong interest in Butoh (also in German expressionist dance), and I only had contact with Vanessa Skantze through Myspace years ago. Could you please say her hello for me if you meet her?

thank you for your word about my music!
I visited your soudcloud and really liked your works there. Post more please!

hello
very sorry for the late reply. never really get on here much. I'm on Facebook, so is Vanessa Skantze, if you ever wish to connect with her again.
Can you tell me whats the deferences between butoh and German expressionist dance??

by the way. I'm very good friends with Vanessa. I'll tell her you say hello !

and I'll finally have my first album coming out here soon. sent in my master and artwork, so it should be in my hands sometime in mid Feburary !
It really feels good to stick to your dreams and promises you make to yourself.
Briana

Hi Welcome to dA! I sort of just stumbled upon your page while researching images for a play I'm going to be sound designing at the end of February. Its a form of Japanese Slow Drama and modern Noh.

Butoh is fascinating to me on first glimpse. I see a lot of people working on it in the Western states especially Seattle and also Australia like Zen Zen Zo. I was wondering if you could point me in a good direction so I can learn more about it.

Sincerely,
~Ken

hi!
thanks for finding me! as for pointing you in teh right direction. If you just looking to find out what butoh is. The internet is the best source, so just google or wikipedia, and youtube. Try googling " Ankoku Butoh" that should take yo somewhere.

For local artist ( seattle) I can give you some websites to check out.
[link]
sheribrown.com
DAIPAN ( a new butoh collective) not sure it the have a web presents.
You can also just google the names Danse Perdue or Death Posture.
They are a Very active group, which i have worked with closely. both doing photos and dance!

hope this info helps!
