Hey. Names Jewel. My first name is to hard to pronounce to others, and I don't want to have to correct people through the Internet. So you get my middle name.I'm a Illustrator. I enjoy creating narrative and I like brush strokes. I have a background in acrylics but I like exploring other fields. For every llama I get, I take it's life by downing it in the lake next to the graveyard. I like to hear them squeal and suffer for dear mercy that I refuse to give them. I then tear off it's skin and cut off it's head once they drown, to then add them to my trophy collection over my fireplace inside my log cabin. I mostly just eat from the meat attatched to it's leg-bones, and when i'm in need of cash, i just sell it's kidneys to doctors who don't even have a propper degree. Hell, they even work at hospitals, giving costly kidney transplants. I mostly see them in the black market underneath my cousin's tattoo store. Oh, speaking of my cousin, he LOVES collecting skulls, so much so that for every llama I get, I take off it's skull and get him to buy it for a pretty decent price. Rumour has it from his mates that he uses the skulls for glory holes and pretend he's mating with his crush. Too bad she'll never like him for the sicko he's grown up to be.
Those llamas you give me? I just give it's body absolute bloody hell and just do whatever I pretty much want with it's remains, weather it'll be eating bits of it or selling the organs of it to hospitals. And hey, whatever keeps the money coming and my stomach something to digest, amirite?

The DA meet flopped like I thought it would. It was worth a try though. I don't have enough popularity or pull on this site to get one running. Frankly I'm not super social at all on the site so I understand why. I'll try again another time.
What am I doing? Thinking about becoming vegan. I made some amazing brownies that have black beans in it. Art related....eh....nothing new. I'm just getting out of a huge art block so. Creativity is slowly coming back to me.

Oh yeah I'm fine now...My apt survived, my car burned and finally have a good excuse to move away from there and get a new job. The fire is still burning but its well away from town now, some areas of town are leting people move back soon (maybe even today)
Too bad about the meet...If I lived anywhere close I would have been totally up for it.

I do most of the cooking and my mother can't eat dairy products anymore, I adore milk and cheese but I love my mom more. Luckily we live in this time where their is a plant based alternative to everything. So the whole house will be Vegan for awhile.

Yeah there wasn't really anything there for me besides work anymore, so it was time to leave...I'm an engineer so it'll likely take longer to clear security checks than to find a job.
Ahh, for health reasons for a family member is always a good reason to become Vegan, especially if you are doing the cooking anyways!

Yeah, they do background checks cause I could literally blowup a town (I'm specialized in Power Engineering and even more specific, environmental units) and drug testing etc....standard stuff it just takes a while
I'll see what I have in my recipe book for vegan dishes (I worked as a chef a long time ago) I might have something there for you to work with!

I adore them. Not as much as a full on comic book nerd. I can't debate lore or anything. But I've read a couple issues of marvel comics. I like the movies, and I love X-Men cartoons. Old, new, whatever. Love the x-men. I like researching characters too. There are so freaking many of them! Like so many!
Power girl is one of my favorite female heros. But Night Crawler is just my all time favortie. <------ he is bae worthy,

I am a full on comic nerd, or at least I was until DC became terrible for long time fans.
X-men are pretty cool and I love what Marvel are doing with their movie universe.
Power Girl is umm...very nice to look at They keep changing her backstory so I don't really know much about her these days.
I'm actually a huge Legion of Superheroes fan which is the comic Nightcrawler was created for. The editors decided he was too weird looking so when the artist moved to Marvel he took the character with him and used him in X-men instead (haha nerd power!!)

Your really into comics. What got you into them? I was way more into anime as a kid and it wasn't until late high school when I was hanging out with friends who were into comics that I tried reading them.

I always read a few comics, but when i was 9 or 10 my uncle gave me his collection. In it were two series that really caught my attention, ROM Spaceknight and Legion of Superheroes...that got me started on collecting. And once I discovered Alpha Flight I really got into them too.

I'm always intrested in anything that's related to magic, or supernatural stuff. So excited for the new movie Fantastic Beast and Where to find them.
I really liked this show about a odd pawn shop. It would sell stuff like stuffed two headed pigs and just really werid items. I definitely have a moment of "I'm going to watch this because I know it will make me uncomfortable but I want the experience."
Im also in love with cartoons. So anime movies. Korean Dramas. Japanese dramas. I love dramas. So far my favorite is 200 pound beauty. Ah...cry. Just cry all the time at that. Those are "this is going to be cute and stir up all the feelings and get me emotionally invested."
And then I like comedy, rom coms, action movies. Eh...anything that isn't to scary. I watched several different movies and enjoyed them but I can not sit and watch a horror movie. Thriller and jump scares I've been able to handle but slasher/murder/brutal killing can't do. I hated watching buried alive. Hated that film.

I really enjoy the magic stuff too...I actually just watched The Last Witchhunter last night as I went to bed.
Sci-fi is always interesting to me, both "hard" sci-fi like Europa Report and more outlandish/silly ones like Avatar.
Via net-flix I've discovered i seem to have a taste for the found footage style of movie, which is odd because I would never say that is a style I enjoy if it wasn't forming such an obvious pattern.
I am an absolute horror freak, but don't really like what I would call torture porn. I have no issues with the gore or anything but those films seem to do it just to be gory. I prefer the ones that build tension, make you think and fear without needing to show anything. The original Alien movie is a prime example.
And for toons I'm not overly familiar with most...I've seen the really well known stuff, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, the Ghibli films etc but its not something I've explored a lot. I DO love a lot of 90's toons like the xmen and spiderman ones. Right now I'm obsessed with Archer.

Humor aside. I'm a reader. Love reading. But it takes a good book to get me into it. Audio books are pretty easy to consume. But paper back's are hard to get into when the first chapters aren't good.
From grade 7- to the end of high school I always had a book in my hand and covering my face. Most of middle school I don't even remember because I spent it in a book. In our school year books. The only picture of me was of me reading in a corner. I hated gym I would hide and read.
I'm very picky bow about what I read. I have to really like it or I feel like I wasted my time and the trip to the library. Recently I've read a lot of non-fiction. Like Lena Dunignum's book. Once I was Cool Megan...Stelistra bit sure how to spell her last name.
I started on feast of all saints by Anne rice.
But if it has some romance, a strong female lead, and some supernatural or sci Fi pits in there. I'll read it. The Anita Blake series. Favorite series. Ever. Romance, danger, mystery, supernatural,murder. Aww love that series!
I can always enjoy murder mysteries or romance novels.
I'm also a big fan of fanfiction and Wattpad <-- -- love this site. Mostly romance comedy writers.
Basically I like chic lit. With murder and vampire. XD

I started young too, read all the normal kids series...Hardy boys, Nancy Drew, Bobsey Twins etc and havent stopped since
I usually read 2 or 3 books at once so I can always have something to fit my mood.
I tend to flit between genres and will read anything as long as it hooks me in the first few chapters. I do love fantasy series the most though.
Right now I'm reading a Kate Elliott trilogy called "Cold Fire" as well as Dickens Great Expectations
I also read a lot of theoretical science books and articles....wacky stuff like cold fusion and white holes and antigravity

Anne Rice is pretty good. I prefer her Mayfair Witches books over the Vampire novels though (OMG have you read her sleeping beauty series, I suspect youd like it too)

I read Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys as a kid too! I read White Fang and Annie and all those classic kids books. And the series of unfortunate events to.
I used to try reading 2 to 3 books at once but it's become to but now I just stick to one, it also saves me from over due library books....
haha that is a lot of I statements but you can't help it when your talking about reading. It's all just about you and the book.
Have you ever picked up a book with a really cool cover? And thought omg gosh this book looks freaking amazing! I try not to but I judge books by their covers.....I do. But a lot of my favorite books have really nice covers.

Lol, yeah I usually use a Kindle to read so its easier to read multiple books at once...luckily I had bought a fair number of books for it before the evavuation and loaded up a lot of free classics. Lots of reading for a while!
OMG yes, I do that all the time. Its pretty much how I shop in used bookstores! I saw one with the same title as my comic (Radix) and grabbed it for that reason only. It was pretty good, very weird sci-fi post apocalypse stuff.

It's a lot easier to read digitally sadly when I have to fly somewhere I don't remember to download those books ahead of time... So I'm left with nothing that I actually want to read...I really should think ahead for next time.
