He shows up after you give misgivings about Dr. McPillowfists clothing in the past. I defend him and you mock the suit, turns out I was going to wear a similar suit but hide it instead

Pop quiz A Space Marine Chapter comes across a Chaos Force under attack by Eldar what do they do?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BloodyWolvesEh In reply to Dragonsbane345 [2010-04-20 02:29:15 +0000 UTC]

Kill everything. In fact if it's a whole Chapter them they would probably go on to cleanse the whole
sector of Xenos, heretics, and traitors.

Unless it's a fanfic then the space marine chapter-master will feel compelled to save the beautiful Eldar seer from doom, them for some reason fucking like rabbits despite the fact that space marines are psychologically conditioned to be xenophobic, have never been a recorded case of any space marine to have a sex drive, and that physically speaking trying too do so with an elder would probably kill the Eldar.
Then they would go to save the world and have "forbidden love" and not care what anyone things about it!

Or b. which is the same thing except with a human psycher.

BloodyWolvesEh In reply to Dragonsbane345 [2010-04-21 05:01:49 +0000 UTC]

With bolter and chainsword, of course.

First they would assess the situation to understand which faction is stronger, and then based on what ever chapter this is they would make a lighting strike to disrupt the enemy.
The traitors are a higher priority than some filthy Eldar so unless the Eldar hold a superior advantage in position, firepower, numbers, or are trying to accomplish some diabolical goal (i.e. death of a planet or something similar) the traitors die first. Striking with speed and fury the space marines disrupt the traitor line, support units lay down covering fire after destroying enemy vehicles, bunkers, and other strong points (i.e. enemy support/heavy weapons teams, demons, and other shit of that nature) The space marine's melee units (the assault marines, dreadnoughts and terminators) stay close with the enemy, opening gaps and taking pressure off the tactical marines so they can clear out the enemy fortifications with bolters and flamers.

The Eldar forces outnumber both the traitor legion lets say the World Eaters and the Space Marines lets say The Ultramarines 3 to 1 and hold a large number of Howling Banshees and Warlocks. The World Eaters have a large number of bloodletters and are in the process of summoning a bloodthirster. The Ultramarines have access to 2 dreadnaughts 1 Whirlwind artillery unit(limited ammunition) 1 Russ battle tank(dual assault cannons) 2 squads assault marines 1 squad tactical marines 1 squad of devastators 3 scout squads and a librarian. Their battle barge has engaged the chaos ship in orbit so no orbital bombardments can be called in and heavy warp activity prevents reinforcements. Go.

Being Ultramarines they are very codex astaries bond (their patriarch wrote it to go agenst it's teachings or modify them is heresy) Being a armor heavy force I would lead with my dreadnaughts into the eldar's rear lines after softening them up with a volley from the Whirlwind aimed at disrupting or destroying units that could give my Dreadnaughts trouble. The Leman Russ and Devastators hem in the Eldar keeping them comited to close combat with my Dreadnaughts limiting the effectivness of the warlocks. The World Eaters are Bloody Bezerkers, sevants of Krone the Blood God. They would try to push thru the Eldar ratter that flank me or Fall back to regroup, revailing in the slaughter so keep droping volleys from the Whirlwind into the kill zone where ever one side is gaining the advantige. Target the Warlocks with the scouts sniper weapons to take them out of the fight when they are down the scouts retask to targets of opertunatiy assisting the whirlwind in keeping the world eaters engaged with the eldar and keeping the eldar pinned.

Meanwhile the Assault, and Tactical squads lead by the librarian flank the World Eaters and disrupt the summoning.
Tactical squad draws fire and gets the World Eater's atention. When they charge the Assault marines jump into the thick of it hitting them hard stoping their momentom and gaining control of the battle. the Librarian wades in after them blasting some of them back with his smite ability. The goal is to get him and the tactical squad through enemy lines so they can draw fire again so the Assault squad can jump clear and head with the Libarian to stop the summoning.

The world eaters can't be allowed to summon the Bloodthister, period. If they do them we must pull back from the eldar and world eaters and pummel it with any ranged weapons in our arsonal before throwing everything we'ver got at it. The battle is still winable but much more difficault with a much higher casualty rate, plus it gives the eldar a chance to pull back and regroup or retreat.

If the bloodthirster isn't summoned then we just grind them to dust between the mighty anvil of our armor and the hammer that is the librarian's small strike force (which the scouts would shift to better support.

Alright now lets make it a bit more difficult

The Ultramarine Battle-Barge was destroyed in orbit though the carcass crashed into the main chaos force. Though a signal was able to be sent through the warp it will take a a week before the Battlefleet will be able to navigate to the planet further more not only was the Bloodthirster summoned but the Eldar managed to convert a warlock into an Avatar of Khaine luckily for you it engaged the Bloodthirster. The chaos host is now bringing in more ally's from the warp while the Eldar continue to bring in more forces through the webway gates. All is not lost however as a Space Wolves Battle-Barge was reported to be within transmission range. Ready Go.

BloodyWolvesEh In reply to Dragonsbane345 [2010-04-25 05:13:44 +0000 UTC]

Considering that the Space wolves and Ultra marines have some history together They would probably respond to a call for aid from the Ultra marines if they are able to and not tied down in their own battles.

But first we need to fall back and regroup. The Librarian and his supporting Astartes need to withdraw IMMEDIATELY. If they get pinned in between the chaos reinforcements and the Bloodthirster they are done. The tactical marine use frak grenades on the chaos squads between them and the scouts, while the scouts concentrate on suppressing chaos troops harrying the marines from behind. The assault marines use the frak grenades as cover for a charge right into the chaos forces cutting clear a path for the tactical squad and the librarian. After they clear the chaos forces they will then pull back towards their armor. The whirlwind uses one of it's few remaining volleys to clear a path for the dreadnoughts. under the cover of the Land raider the dreadnoughts head for the rearmost webway gate. They destroy it,,to hamper the Eldar's reinforcements because with the Main chaos force devistated by the remains of our battle barge the Eldar are the dominate force on the battle field.
I need a BDA to plan anything else.

Dragonsbane345 In reply to BloodyWolvesEh [2010-04-26 10:28:13 +0000 UTC]

You have enough ammo left for 2 volleys of the whirlwind. You lost one scout squad due to bloodletters 1 assault marine 2 tactical marines the devastator squad is alright. Your Librarian has suffered a broken arm due to the attack of a chaos champion. The battle tank has broken a tread and is immovable so your decision there is whether to bunker down with it or take its ammo and attach a Melta-Charge to it. The dreadnaughts are generally unharmed as well one has a banshee blade stuck in it the ammo for one of its cannons has run out and has had to be replaced with a flamer. If you can survive for 14 hours the Space Wolf barge will be in range to drop in troops and the warp storm should have dissipated.

The Leman Russ is at the rear of the Eldar lines... I'd say hold position for as long as possible, it's firepower could be the difference between victory and being hounded into oblivion by the chaos marines. pull my marines into a defensive stance around the Leman Russ, Assault marines and dreadnoughts to the fore, backed up by the Tactical squad, and the librarian. Devastators hold back, so they can provide support, while the scouts find a better position and reinforce it. Hold the Whirlwind in reserve for now. If it looks like one side or the other is gaining an advantage try to interfere. If it looks like one side or an other is going to be overwhelmed or defeated or our position becomes untenable throw everything at the victor (or stronger side) to inflict some damage and to buy some time to extract from our positions, set a melta charge booby trap on the tank and extract all it's assault cannon ammo leaving the ammo for the main gun. Then fall back to the defensive position prepared by the scouts. Hold there for as long as possible, and use the Whirlwinds volleys if necessary.

Give a bda and I'll continue

The russ tank is destroyed and the whirlwind now completely out of ammo on the plus side the bloodthirster was weakened by the avatar and a whirlwind volley sent it back to the warp. Eldar artillery has been summoned in but is mainly being used to hammer the newly summoned demons. Further good news your battle barge was able to deploy 2 squads of terminators before it was destroyed. They are an hour north of your position. Bad news the drop zone the Space Wolves designated is currently occupied by the eldar rear defense camp currently occupied by 3 squads of Banshees, a seer council, and a weakened farseer. Worse news 1 scout squad was lost to a single target last transmissions sent this image.[link] 5 hours remain until the space wolves begin to drop in. If the landing zone is not captured their drop pods will be destroyed before landing

Shit...

Punch through any Eldar forces engaging us (we still behind the Eldar battle line so the chaos forces are cut off from us)
Avode contact will the enemy, link up with the terminators, scout the Eldar. Our long range firepower is crippled but we have devistating closecourters combat capabilities, so dreadnaughts to the fore, assault marines hang back and follow the dreadnaughts in, when the eldar's forces, close combat fighters to a T comit to the dreadnaughts the assault marines jump in disrupting the Banshees charge, then the dreadnaughts tear them to pieces. The terminators hose the seer council with fire until they close to melee range (I assume that being terminators they are First company vets. so 1 sqaud thunder hammers and storm shields and the other stormbolters and powerfists (sqaud lead has a heavy flamer instead of storm bolter) one sqaud hangs back and provides support fire (i.e. the flamer) The librarian squares off with the farseer, holds her off with help from the devastators, tactical marines, and the remaining scout sqaud watches out for the chaos flankers that got the other scouts. LZ succoured with 1 hour till space wolf drop, Eldar have tried to split off forces to take out our force but all atempts have failed so far. Scout suvivors limp back in the Chaos flanks are here they were delayed this long because they found some Imperial Guardsmen to butcher.

Hey know I tell you what people find and what not but I like this so I'll let your off this once. Your dreadnaughts have been crippled the servo motors operating the arms of one has been destroyed and the other is currently without the use of its right leg. Your remaining scouts report an altar to khrone being built adorning the top of the pile of skulls are the freshly severed heads of your fallen brothers. Space Wolf drop, due to the intel of a champion of Khrone being here more troops have been dropped than originally planned. 2 squads of terminators armed with lightning claws have been dispatched, 3 whirlwind artillery units 4 leman russ battle tanks dual assault cannon equipped, 7 tactical squads, 9 assault squads, 5 devastator squads, a tech-marine, an apothecary, and 3 venerated dreadnaughts. One orbital strike can be called in. 20 hours and the remainder of the space wolf fleet will be in orbit you have until then to get back to the thunderhawks. After 20 hours if there has not been totsl victory the planet will undergo Exterminatus.

ha...ha...Haha...HAHAHA!
Yes This I can work with!
rearm my whirlwind and use it and the other three to pound the chaos forces, assault marines and Dreadnoughts to the fore punch through the Eldar lines in three places with a Dreadnought leading each charge. Tanks and devastators close the webway gates, cut the Eldar off from their reinforcements, and line of retreat. Leave none standing.

Apothecary heals librarian, tech-marine fixed the dreadnoughts. The chaos champion arrives on the battlefield, he attacks our rear line with three squads of chaos marines, his own honor guard and a small horde of cultists.(Two squads of Bezerkers, backed by a tactical squad) We are ready. My terminators deep strike into the cultist formation (if you can call a pack of screaming, bleeding mad men a "formation") the slaughter begins. The Space marine terminators charge the Bezerkers and a bloody melee ensues. The chaos roars with the hate of the blood god himself and begins to cut a bloody path through anything that stands before him, even his own men. He is focused on one target, an enemy that the Blood God hates more that any other, a Psyker. The Librarian strides boldly out to meet him cutting effortlessly through the bezerkers how rise to meet him. The Champion and Librarian battle for minutes and it does not go well. As the Librarian uses up his formidable powers he is weakened, and slowly but surely the Champion gains the upper hand. After a final blow lays low the Librarian the Champion stands triumphantly above him Chain-axe raised to deliver the final blow a shadow falls upon him he turns axe swinging in a wide blow that would have felled even a terminator but only scored a narrow cut in the armor of a Dreadnought. "I AM YOUR DOOM" the dreadnought's mechanical voice roars as he swings a power fist down on the Champion. He has no chance to move or react, no chance at all. The dreadnought grasps him tightly in his armored grip, and crushes the life out of him, before dropping the Champion to the ground and crushing his skull under his mighty foot. With him dead the chaos hordes have lost their most able leader and even more disorganized then before the venerated dreadnoughts carve three bloody paths into the chaos battle line, followed by the assault marines that keep the paths open so the tactical marines can cut through the chaos lines with impunity. The devastators and the tanks blast their reinforcements keeping the Chaos army from reinforcing their own lines while the Whirlwinds pound the altar of Khrone into dust based on coordinates provided by the scouts. The librarian is critically wounded but divides to make a bold sacrifice to end the battle. The battle will not end as long as the warp gate is kept open by the chaos sorcerers so he takes the orbital strike beacon and a thunderhawk and crashes it near the gate. useing the last of his strangth he plants the beacon, the orbital strike kills the sorcerers, closes the gate and saves the day
