It's both a love and interest in nature as well as a spiritual connection. I like to collect animal parts simply because I find them interesting, they're tiny pieces of natural history, documenting an animals life. Those little parts and pieces can tell so much about an individual animal and it's species, even species it has no relation to. Color mutations and how they happen, comparative anatomy, texture, art, all of it relates to the art of taxidermy and the Vulture Culture, and i love educating myself about the culture. I find it simply fascinating, and it gives me a way to work with animals I never dreamed possible, since I never had the grades to be a vet like I wanted to.Β
I'm also a Kemetic-Pagan, I work under the Netjer (Egyptian gods) for my spiritual practices. The main god I work under is Anpu (Anubis) god of mummification and preservation of the dead. I guess you could also consider these animals offerings to him c:! Hope this explains it a bit more~!!Β

Yes, thanks it's very interesting. i'am not into "kill animals" things, and i think it's bad when you don't kill them to eat and just for their pelt but your point of view is realy fine.

ONCE THERE WAS A LITTLE GIRL NAMED CLARISSA. SHE WAS 10 YEARS OLD AND SHE LIVED IN A MENTAL HOSPITAL, BECAUSE SHE KILLED HER MOM AND DAD. NOW EVERY WEEK ON THE DAY OF HER DEATH SHE RETURNS TO THE PERSON THAT READS THIS LETTER, ON A MONDAY NIGHT AT 12:00 SHE CREEPS INTO YOUR ROOM AND KILLS YOU, BUT SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY SLOWLY CUTTING DIFFERENT PARTS OF YOUR BODY THEN WATCHES YOU BLEED TO DEATH IF YOU DON'T SEND THIS TO 20 PEOPLE BY MIDNIGHT, SHE'LL BE COMING TO KILL YOU! Made a purchase on the 14 of October. I was told by Ashley that the package was going to be sent out the following Friday (the 18th). I live in California which I know the package would have been here within 3-4 days (I ordered a different package from England the next day and got it mid last week).
I purchased the mask/headdress in hope to have it by samhain/Halloween ... Which is tomorrow. I wouldn't be one to complain if I would have proper communication ... But ever since the purchase I have heard nothing from this seller after attempting 3 times this lack concerns me because before the purchase the reply was pretty much instant.
Now the moral of this is simple, if you are going to run a business run it appropriately and if things fall throu then communicate with your customers.
Second the purchase was $25 but it's still wrong to not hold up your end of the deal.
Don't claim to be of "spiritual" mind when your actions say otherwise.
I hope this gets resolved soon ... Thievery and lieing is not a good stroke with karma...

If you notice - there is a taxidermy section in the submission section because taxidermy is an art form. I understand it is not the easiest thing to accept but there is definitely an art to making an animal look alive and as beautiful as it was living.
Taxidermists have the utmost respect for these animals even in death they treat them with great care as if they were still among the living. Many taxidermists here only work with animals that died or were taken for population control.
Most of the taxidermists here did not kill the animals - they simply take them and use them to make sure the animal's body is used in a respectful way instead of being discarded.
Perhaps ask some questions before jumping to conclusions. No one forced you to come look at this- if you don't like it then you should hit the back button.

You have a beautiful collection of pelts here. I wish in the future to own a white timber wolf pelt or just a timber wolf pelt. Though some of my friends and family would think it's disrespect to my power animal to have a pelt of it. But i already have the tail. Besides i would enjoy a headdress. ( Im native american ) So most natives would find it disrespectful which makes it difficult to own or find one. I never bring out my wolf tail. It sits on the totem shelf with the rest of my figurine's hidden under dream catchers an such. No one understands the beauty of it. =/
