A peacock feather and a rose framing the words, "Everything happens for a reason," in my mom's handwriting. I got it over my heart. My mom got the same thing, except it was in my sister and my handwriting.

I've been doing pretty well! I've had an extremely busy summer, hanging out with friends and making new friends and, prepare yourself, going on dates. Honestly, this is probably the most social summer of my life; I've hardly had the time to sit down!

It is so very exciting! I will be going to California for a little over a week, I've never seen the Pacific ocean so that will be great.

I was able to get enough to go to California [with a loan from my boyfriend]. It was gorgeous out there, I'd definitely like to travel there again. The weather is so different from what I am used to, it's nice.
