i must say your scratch arts are awesome! i'm not sure what kind of advice I would give you ... um for me...i try to collect as much artworks from my favorite artists and numerous photo references to start with, then come up with several rough sketches.(and color schemes) Once I pick the one i like, i try to render, constantly checking back and forth to match the rendering quality of the reference material. I'm sorry i can't be much help...

lol thank you for the compliment, i'm just not a painter and i would love to do digital painting. I've done one good one, and i couldn't even tell you how i did it. i've tried to replicate it, but no luck. i have painter x and i've wanted to learn it, but it uses the same basic principles that photoshop does, i just can't get the one that makes it look real or like a painting....
