hey thanks for watching my and my stream, i'll be heading to bed now but took a look at your gallery, from what i can see you are heading in the right direction and jsut keep doing what you are doing currently
if you still need to convince yourself try finding an local mobile app develper, especially the small ones thrieve on pay free internships so you can expect that you have to work quite hard for no pay :/ but get a realistic insight into the buisness in addition you'll meet lots of other people and interns with the same intrested and if there is one thing you need in the gaming industry it is good contacts, firends and a lot of luck
Keep in mind that I'm from germany so it might be completly different in your country. Hope I was able to help a bit.

few things i did for these:
1. work large and resize later
2. explore new material within your already sketched work
3. if your not pressured to work at a professional pace, focus on quality over quantity, but that said, leave good work in a state you can revisit it later when you figure out how to progress effectively. ( less you have to redraw later)
4. chose a direction to improve in general, such as practice with expressions or in body language, even while you do familiar characters or designs.
5. have fun, this isnt something you need to frame, but rather exploit the tools available to go wild and try novel approaches. I do this a lot when im thinking of painting new stuff.
