Recently graduated from Fort Hays State University with my BFA in photography, and my BS in secondary education. I will then be returning to get my MFA, also in photography, with the hopes of growing stronger in the way I capture subject matter and being able to see more within the subjects I'm exposed to everyday. I'm also looking forward to doing more portraiture, especially outdoors and exploring the varied facets of digital art and manipulations.Current Residence: Hays, Kansas (originally from Vancouver, BC, Canada)
Favourite genre of music: I like everything from classical to folk to hard rock
Favourite photographer: Ansel Adams, Tom Ang, Zhang Jingna, Alvin Coburn
Favourite style of art: like too many but anything that fits my own style of geometric meets organic

Thanks, I love your work on vortography; may I ask how you went about constructing your own vortoscope?

I used three pieces of mirror to create a sort of tube that was triangular....it was smaller at the end furthest from the camera and wide enough at the base to accomodate the lenses. So whatever measuremenst you would use would be based on the camera being used.

And you as well, I found it an interesting departure from traditional sunflower images, especially considering I just finished a bunch....helps me to find new ways to look at them.
