Hello! Was looking for inspiration for my Sandy costume and came across what you guys did for the convention and I thought you had really great pattern and design for it! If you don't mind me asking, how many yards of fabric did you use for that costume? was the sleeves part a seperate piece from the wrap around drape part of the dress? When I asked , she was really helpful, but she was not certain on some details of it.. thanks

Hey there! Sorry I've been gone so long. Yeah, fuzzle is amazing.
Now, we don't use yards here in Aus, and I'm on my phone at the moment so I can't really convert so you might have to on Google. If I remember correctly we got about 4 meters, but that was way more than enough.
As for the pattern, in all honesty, we made it up as we went. The entire thing is connected together like a jumpsuit and there is a small patch of Velcro inside to help keep the shape.
The only seperate piece was the caveat.
There are lots of small stitches over it to help drape the material and give it the shape it is.
If you have anymore questions I would be happy to answer. sorry again if it's too late though.

Ah! long time no see...but I got the pattern figured out and had the costume finished by a local seamstress because I broke my sowing machine.. thanks for the help!
What I did with mine was just like a jump suit slash bath robe wrap. Since the character design showed the right side of the suit going over the left, I got the seamstress to make an entire front right half an one-si and the left part in sort of a half vest form that is attached in the inside for the right side to wrap half across...for the legs, I just got her to cut the front piece up to how long my inseam was.. the entire back one-si is one piece...so the whole piece was technically a rectangle piece sewn and gathered in several places.. the sleeves where one wide rectangle each with a simple gather cuff so it looks puffy and sown together along the under arm and attached to the each right and left side of the one-si where we left for the arm holes...total of 5 pieces sown together...Whole front right side, innder left vest, whole back side, and one for each arm...a bit confusing...just think of a really long dragging long sleeved bath robe split on the bottom and sown back together separately to create a one-si... I will show a photo when I wear it to the event...
