I think you did a little mistake.
Don't copy the hole folder. just copy the folder of Purple Dream to : C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes.
then go in the folder & double click the Purple Dream.a window apper name appearance. you see all your theme name is windows aero or windows basic. Try to apply all themes one by one then you get
Purple Dream
