I'm going to be cosplaying Szayel Apporo Granz as my first official cosplay....Can you ask some of my questions?
I would appreciate it if you do. <3
1. Where can I get a cheap wig to customize??
2. How did you make the glasses?
3. Is your outfit store bought(or from internet) or did you make it yourself? If so, what materials did you you to make it??
4. How did you make the outfit?
5. I have a sword but I want to make another one to look like his, what should I use to make it and how can I make it?
6.For a video or photoshoot , what poses or acting should I do?

Hi,
To answer your questions:
1. I bought both the wig & costume from a local cosplay shop in my country. If you're looking for cheap wigs, I suppose you can find it on Ebay? The length of the wig can range from 45cm to 60cm. Mine was 60cm.
2. I bought a cheap pair $2 glasses at a convenient store. The pattern was made with fast-drying clay! However, I recommend using thin-card instead cause the clay fell apart after a few days.

5. If you are able to get a regular wooden replica katana, it would save a lot of time and effort. To make Szayel's iconic hilt, just cut up some ping-pong balls in half & glue them together on the sword hilt with hot-glue. Then just spray paint the sword to match the color in the anime/manga.
6. The way Szayel draws his sword is unique, so that would be recommended. His characteristic is mostly arrogance and proud, so you could try to portray that.

2. For the glasses, what I mean is replacing the use clay with thin cardboard instead!
5. Since the ping-pong balls will be cut in half, use about 5 will do.(I used 5 for mine was well!)
