theartfrog blocked me, so I can't reply to you on their thread. :/
I'm going to apologize for being more than just kind of an ass. Your thoughtful response in spite of my nastiness is VERY appreciated.
You make some especially valid points. I forgot to mention that I think exceptions should be made for people who've had a reaction and/or have other issues that would make having a vaccination not good for them. Also, since, for example, the flu shot hasn't been perfected (mostly because the flu is a "shitty virus" as my dad says, because it makes crappy copies of itself that mutate over time), that should not be mandatory except in certain situations like if you work at a hospital, for example.
I'm sorry if I made it sound like EVERYBODY should have a vaccination regardless of their condition, I should have mentioned that I do think exceptions should be made where appropriate. Also, some people are very sensitive to the preservatives in certain vaccines, places like Target and CVS offer preservative-free vaccines, which apparently work just fine for those who are sensitive to said preservatives. I'm sure there are other things I haven't thought of, that should be accounted for. But tbh, I do think most people should be vaccinated. Anti-vaxxers are responsible for the return of many a deadly disease that had all but been wiped out here in the states. Also, 50% of infant deaths are due to lack of vaccination. That's just beyond astounding to me, and quite frankly, inexcusable.

Well, looks like you just made the Frog croak.
It's all good man, don't worry about it. I appreciate this very thoughtful comment of yours as well.
Ok, I am going to apologize for both that opening joke and the late response. This was a very good comment and I wanted to take my time responding to it.
I won't get too into vaccines this time, but I can say I especially agree with the "shitty virus" on the part of the flu.
Preservative-free vaccines? I was not aware of these. Also, I'll have to look into these points of Anti-Vaxxers and Infant deaths further. You've really given me some topics to research. I do thank you for those.

LMFAO! That was awesome, you don't haveΒ to apologize. Yeah, I heard about the preservative-free vaccines from an autism/Asperger's group I'm a part of on Facebook; many of us are sensitive to things like that and can have reactions to them. I thankfully haven't gotten sick with a cold or flu since I started getting flu vaccines every year; knock on wood. XD Honestly, the vaccine debate isn't as simple as either side makes it out to be, but I DO blame anti-vaxxers for the return of many a virus that should have been eradicated. :/ I realize it can leave many a person sick from the effectsΒ of a vaccine; but without them, we get all theseΒ extinct/nearly extinct viruses comingΒ back. So to me, the solution is simple: the vaccine makers should be more open and considerate of people's concerns, and instead of just up and refusing vaccines outright (unless of course, someone has a perfectly valid reason to avoid them, such as past reaction(s), etc.), people should push drug companies to be more open and considerate of them. It's really not rocket science. Yet for some reason, neither side is willing to budge an inch, especially where the anti-vaxxers are concerned (read: the drug makers are also to blame, but at least they're somewhat willing to put SOME information out there, if not nearly enough)
And you're very welcome! I'm glad I could be of at least some service in this situation that I admit I'm at least partly to blame for. I do miss talking to theartfrog, but find their recent unwillingness to listen even a little bit, and calling people names, etc., beyond uncalled for. Hopefully, they'll see things aren't so black-and-white, but I'm not holding my breath.
Also, I'd like to thank you for your awesomelyΒ mature response. It's VERY appreciated.
