Hey, I've just been watching your SPH experiments on youtube and stumbled across your deviantart page. You've got some really nice stuff and I'd love to be able to talk with you about it some time.
I guess this is just a comment to see if you're active enough to respond (:

hi! i´m glad you liked these experiments . I´m not really into sph simulations anymore but we can still talk if you like.
see ya!

Ah, I added you on msn - not sure if you even use it much, but oh well. By the way, in this video [link] are you using elasticity and plasticity in the fluid or just a highly viscous substance?

In that video i am using both elasticity and plasticity. I had some stability issues (verlet integration), but it was a matter of using the correct parameters. The paper cited on the description was very useful for this.
I´m not really a msn user, but well, i connect 2-3 times a week, mostly at night.

Alright, thanks for the information. I've managed to follow the paper pretty well besides elasticity and plasticity, just wondered how you're managing the springs. I don't know what language you were using, but with C# I thought of each particle holding a dictionary of springs with the key being the length and the value being the other particle. This didn't really work out haha.

I used Processing, which is Java on steroids. If i remember correctly i just used a vector (ArrayList in my case) of springs. Each spring had two pointers to particles. Particles and springs were updated separately. My update loop looked like this:
for all particles: find nearest neighbors
for all particles: update density
for all particles: update pressure (faked surface tension applying lumping forces where pressure is below a threshold)
for all particles: update viscosity
for all springs: update plasticity
This might not be completely right though, because i lost the original code.

De nada, Dr Slump me gusta mucho y se agradece ver a Arale de una mano distinta a la del maestro Akira

Hey whats up!
Lately i´ve been busy both in my job and the university, so DH2 has fallen to a second or third plane xD, while its engine continues to grow. However i have other game project we are developing at my job place, mainly a casual game for xbox360 which i will test first in gamemaker. It will be an "arcade strategy game", like an rts but with more action and less thinking (nothing to do with DH, anyway, but the overall look of the game might resemble it at the end). There will be no resource gathering, no buildings, and massive amounts of units. The controls won´t be the usual, and we expect them to be very addictive. I can´t give you many details on it because we are going to sell it...
these are my projects right now. How about you? any new GM games?

Oh.
Very sad about DH2.
Did you see how many fans/members want to a next part?! oh well. If you will continue, I will help you. Did you have concepts or .gmk of DH2?
For xbox?! Cool!! I love indie games!! Will wait it!
Yeah, I have unusual RPG, with customizations, without armors, but with masks of different powers, very simple graphics. And many other little projects, so check sometimes yyg.com.
cool dev although.
