# About me
:bigthumb630010446:
:thumb582974401: Welcome to my page~ :thumb582974401:
My interests seem to grow fewer with time, sadly, and I don't draw a lot of fanart, so I'm probably not that interesting to watch, unless you like original stuff.
I mostly draw Kids Next Door OCs and OCs from an original roleplay I'm part of called Cutler Hill Academy and that's about it for now. ^^
...
I appreciate every watcher, every fave and every comment very, very much, even if I don't always reply to said comments, which I can apologize for in advance right now, because it happens that I sometimes simply forget.
Hope you like my art!

Tag a quality deviant, Youβre it! Quality doesnβt mean that youΒ
have a lot of followers, or a lot of messages. It means that youβre nice to other people, and you deserve to be happy. If you get this message, someone is telling you that they love you as you are, and they donβt care how much followers you have. Send this to 10 deviants who deserve it. If you break the chain, nothing will happen. But itβs just good to let someone know that you love them<3

There are also these:

-panhaukatze.deviantart.com/artβ¦
-panhaukatze.deviantart.com/artβ¦
Like, holy crap...
But um... yeah, I'm really not sure if they were literally traced, because they aren't identical and it's hard to tell, though granted they are pretty much copies of mine, but I still wasn't sure what to do about this, really. XD; This one person told me I should report these pieces so DA would take them down, but I felt kinda bad about doing that... I dunno... Some people warned her and she credited my drawings in some of those drawings' descriptions, so I was happy I was at least credited. So I'm not quite sure what to think about this...
I'm so happy people are actually looking out for my art here, though~

Yeah, If I were in the same situation, I'd be a little weary also. Some people use tracing to get better at drawing, but I just dislike how they made it into their own characters and get nice comments for the work someone else did.
dA has this weird thing about tracing...I saw once in a tumblr post, someone traced over this person's picture so she reported it, and dA told her that technically, it was okay, since the drawing now "belonged" to the tracer. It makes sense, but then again, it's frustrating.
Anywho, I just wanted to let you know in case you wanted to report or ask for credit or whatever. Your drawings are beautiful and I would hate to see them stolen.

AngelNess In reply to Emylian [2014-07-17 16:11:06 +0000 UTC]
Hm, yes, exactly, tracing is a great way to get better at drawing, but sadly it shouldn't be put up online... Tracing, as much as she did draw it herself, it's still really close to breaking dA's rules.
And well, I get inspired by other drawings, too, and I have redrawn other drawings with my own characters in them, so I can't really blame her for it, but I always credit the original, plus I never trace them, and with her I can't tell if she does or not.
Huh, really? o.o I've never heard of this... And here I thought that their rules were pretty strict about it... I mean, sure, sometimes it's hard to tell so they can't make the decision, and as long as they don't have good "proof" they won't be able to take it down. But if the drawing is clearly traced and you're the artist who comes along and sees their art traced, and you report the piece and give your drawing as proof, they'll most likely take it down. Some of these people that this person traced from have reported her art and these pieces have been taken down. But yeah, the rules about tracing are strange and there's a really thin line there, and dA can't always help when the case is too unclear, I guess...
Waah, and thank you so much for this, really~ It means a lot to me to know people care about my art~ I wish I knew what the right decision here is, but I'm really unsure... though I guess as long as I get credit, it's not bad. But yes! Thank you so much~! ^-^

May I ask a question?
How do you come about achieving that pencil sketch look that you have as lines in some of your drawings? Is it a specific program? I'm just very curious and have been looking around for a decent pencil brush for some time now. >.>

Ah, questions are good. I'll help as much as I can.
Hmm... well, the tools I use vary from drawing to drawing, actually. Can you maybe try giving me examples of drawings you have in mind here? =3

Most of the drawings in this sketch dump have what im talking about really. ^^ Very thin, pencil looking lines. Like in the first two pictures and the pictures on William and Kendall.

Oh, those. ^^ Hm, well... sadly I don't think I'm going to be that helpful here, since the ones you pointed to are actually drawn with pencil on paper. XD; In this particular set, the four you mentioned and the drawing of Mia in a towel have lines done traditionally. Um, but! I often have to fix my drawings up some digitally if something is a bit off. In that case, I usually use PaintTool SAI. I choose a normal brush (which is called pencil there) with added texture to it (I use the 'canvas' texture) and make it a small size. You can't really see a difference between the traditional lines and the ones done on the computer. ^^ You can also download pencil shaped brushes for Photoshop, they're also good (if you have Photoshop that is). So... yeah, I'm sorry if I wasn't very helpful. >:

Oh, no, thats fine! ^^ I have tried a few brushes for photoshop, but not many have looked that great. I'll be sure to expirament with SAI when I get home. Thank you very much!

AngelNess In reply to Emylian [2013-01-25 19:08:46 +0000 UTC]
You're welcome. ^-^ I prefer to use SAI because it's easier on my laptop and I really can't tell the difference when I fix errors in it. ^^ So you could definitely give that a shot, it might give you that effect that you were looking for. I hope I was a bit helpful. =3
