what do you work as? does it have to do with art?

I'm actually a staff accountant ^_^ Got my degree in accounting at business school, but I've always enjoyed sketching, painting and drawing since I was young.
I took up oil painting when I was eight years old, then had to quit because my family and I moved to another city where no studio would take me because I was too young ^_^; (Small towns are a little more lenient as long as you're a responsible child, but the larger cities are a bit more strict on these rules and such ^_^). Haven't really taken any serious art classes since then. I keep drawing on the side for fun though ^_^.

Well, accountants do many things. For instance, people who help calculate and make sure you get paid for working are usually working in accounting (this is payroll in a company, etc). People who help advise you on tax planning, or calculate your taxes are working as tax accountants. Those who make sure a company is doing all the right things by following all the laws it's supposed to be following and reading into the company's numbers and management are called auditors. Accountants can be treated as business advisors in a way, and advisors in understanding tax laws.
It's really interesting if you're ever interested in business.
