I was afraid of people because of something that happened in the past, but I'm too stubborn to give up... and my family is behind me.

Considering I'm Gray-A it's not all that surprising... (I'm not labelling myself as a "full" asexual only because I didn't try sex yet, so maybe I don't know something. But I don't really think so)

(I guess I kind of... partially knew the answer for that question, since your drawings, even if they're not perfect... there's that "something" in them... that says you're enjoying it. I find it really important, since you can't learn well something you don't like. Jesus, I'm awful with words, in any language :'D ) It's very good then, that you decided to start drawing again ^^

No, they're not bad. Two-three years ago I couldn't really draw something like that (and I still can't get it right XD ). I said that they're not perfect, but then, there aren't many perfect works of art in the world... But I digress. You definitely shouldn't give up, that's for sure, because there's a soul in your drawings.
I think learning by yourself may not be the best idea, but then finding a good teacher might be difficult... Though I don't really know, I myself was very lucky, but we are talking about different countries here... Uh... Just saying that art courses can do much good.
And I think that starting with still life is a good way.
