Well, maybe you don't have to.
Due to the immense resonance and similar feedback and requests, I'm currently trying to establish if it would be possible for me to built some of my work in a small series and above all still at an affordable prize.
Main suspects for such a realization are at the moment the 228 pistol and of course Little Froggy.

What's your opinion about it?

If such a production does materialize I will post this on my DA journal.

I f I may make a few suggestions? For a piece like froggy, I would say to edit the legs a bit, make them thicker if you could so that they wouldn't damage upon being mailed. I would also say that if you do sell items like this, make small variations in them, change the color of the eyebeads, markings on the barrels, Died leather etc., so that each on will make a wonderful addition to their outfits. (And so that no two people get annoyed at having the same thing.)

As for the selling of them I would say you should start an Etsy [link] account. Many people use it. It is basically your own personal store where you can sell your things. It costs 20 cents to put up an item for 4 months, and when it sells, they collect 3.5% as a handling fee. Personally, with all the amazing things I've seen on there, I think this would be right up that alley and would sell well.

Suggestions are always very welcome and help me a lot to determine, what people would expect or want or wish for, if I really go through with it and pursuit such a venture.

- Although the legs look thin, they are made of 0,5mm thick hard brass sheet and are pretty sturdy. The whole drum and barrel section is quite heavy, still, wearing Froggy for whole weekends dangling on my arm, never showed a problem in durability yet. Despite that, thicker metalsheets are also far more difficult to cut into these fine shapes. Of course I still would have an open ear, if people would complain, that it isn't sturdy enough.

The eyebeads color would be definitly a customers choice.
As for the leather, that will change anyway from time to time. I'm buying already dyed genuine leather as a whole skin, which means, that every couple of items, that would change anyway (although still being generally of brown color). I also thought about offering other colors (i.E. black etc.) as exclusively made after buyers request for an extra fee (as I have then to buy that leather first, which will again be a whole skin, as I can't afford having a big stock of leather as genuine high-quality stuff like that is pretty expensive).
And besides that, being handmade, I think they will be anyway always slight variations in the making, so not one would be exactly like another.

- Yes, I did look around at some options and think you're quite right that Etsy will be the way to start this.

- As for the prices: Although I want to do a testbuild first to check out how fast I can build it using the original as a template, whithout loss of quality and if and where there might be points to improve the design for a series, I did take a preliminary look at what I would need and how long it might take to finish one. After which I'm not sure if I can offer Froggy much below 130-150 USD. So I'm not sure if this would be still reasonable from the buyers point of view (although seeing that Brute Force Studios takes easily the double for such items, it might).
Maybe you can give me your opinion on that.
