What's the math you used to arrive at how space would cost trillions for the moon. and quadrillions for Mars? i am quite curious as i've come to the same conclusion but simply from economic returns.. Could Project orion of high-isp-high-thrust and a carefully managed space program with Spheroid O-nelli colonies (start small first!) (that everyone wants) eventually solve this problem? Something like the Liberty Ship?Β Β Β Β Β Β I have my TH: P characters getting 500 secs with RP-1+LOX. and 1000 secs with LH2+LOX using High-energy fuels by means of processed additives. and Neptunia has NTRs and Beamed power.Β so i want to know a lot! (I might consider 1000 seconds Falcon 9s.. if they were ever developed like what Zontargs would have used to say)

Your Pastel Defender Heliotrope comic inspired me to create a miniverse of my own: Clockwork Savior. Β You can check it out on my page, but it's a WIP. Β Anyways, you're really good at drawing ponies!

Hello! I know I haven't really been around to comment on the MLP stories, or even been poking at the UJ forums much lately, but as an older fan of yours I just wanted to pop in and say I'm glad to see you're doing well, and still creating something.
I know people can be mean a lot, and that you've had to deal with a lot more of that than you deserve. But, people can be awesome, too, sometimes. I think I may be a little bit more of an optimist, but, I think humanity is showing a bit of a 'two steps forward, one step back' kind of pattern- after all, by-consent hormone replacement therapy exists in some clinics now, and gay marriage is finally legal in a growing number of states- not to mention that we have a mostly-unimpeded free exchange of information on a global internet. That's something, at least! : )
Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging words when I was younger, and for the wonderful stories you've made- and the drawings in my very own Unicorn Jelly book. However you may feel about yourself or the world, please know that, in 2001, you encouraged a sad 12 year old me, living with my old-fashioned parents in a small town in Texas, to the point where I realized I could transition- because of your site, I knew I could make it.
I wish the best for you and your family. Thank you so much!

Copied from my post over at TCB's group:

Her reappearance, short as it may have been, was enough to get me to finally join. I was her first follower, before she had even uploaded a single fic to this site. What can I say, I'm a huge fan of Unicorn Jelly. ;-p The abuse she has suffered, online and off, sickens me.
That said, I'm not leaving the ACB. I'm a member there because I read "Canon Equestria vs. Xenolestia TCB" stories, and I can't get them here. For obvious reasons. *facehoof* That said, joining here is a gesture that must be made. Just don't expect me to post much in the forums. I'm not very chatty over at the ACB, either.

So, yeah. Hope things pull together for you soon. I'll be keeping an eye on jenniverse.com for your next big project. Whatever that may turn out to be.

I wanted to take the time to thank you for the wonderful stories in which you have written. I know as I type this, you have not logged on for a long while (10 weeks 4 days ago, at the time of me typing this) however, I became a fan of your work for a long time, before I created a FIMfiction.net account. I just got lazy about making an account, until I found it much easier to keep track of story updates by making one. Therefore, I was a follower of your work for a longer time then what my profile says.
I particularly like your βThe Conversion Bureauβ stories, as they give me deep thought about how society might react to such a βprocessβ or βeventβ. It really helps me think about how humans act and I think you captured many different angles of how humans from different sides would react to event βABCβ. I felt it was realistic and heartwarming. I even stayed up late after doing college work (during my master degree studies mind you.) just to read your stories, until I finished them. I may have been tired the next day for class, but I always felt that as long as I did my homework, my reward would be reading that next chapter of one of your stories.
Now that I graduated with my masterβs degree a few weeks ago, I finally have to time to properly, thank you. I am 26 years old and although I am younger then you, I feel that I learned a thing or two. I may have not said much in the comments sections, but I plan to change that later on. I also notice you sometimes get hate mail from those who βdisagreeβ with your view point on how the ponies and humans interact or the idea of how βhumans in Equestriaβ is a fan fiction that you write about βpaintingβ humans in a negative light. Some people do not like that, but I say it is your story and you do what you want. Humans can be good OR evil, unfortunately, I lived long enough to see that we live in a corrupt society. I recall you talking about or replying to someone in the comments section of how, humans can be really evil how you lived long enough to notice and see the βbadβ side of human beings who take advantage of others, or something along those lines. I say for the people who complain about βhowβ you write your stories. I say ignore their insults. A writer, get their creativity by exploring new territory and making stories with no legs being tied, just because a few people βhateβ ones writing style. Itβs kind of like how a publisher tells a writer what to do and how to do it and they lose control of their creativity.
Bottom line, screw them, write your stories as you please, feedback is one thing and criticism is another, but insults are uncalled for by those trolls. I love your stories and I think you should continue on what your doing.
Ok this was a long message, but I felt it was really overdue and I owe you one. Perhaps when you get back on, I can share some of my stories with you as a pre-reader some time.
I look forward to your return,
Respectfully,
Rye ("Rye_B_P" on fimfiction.net)

Thank you, very much, for such kind words. I need them right now, as I feel very low from the attacks - both online and real world - that I have endured from Fimfiction.
I greatly appreciate your supportive message!

You are very welcome, I feel that writers, artists, and fans should stick together. It just puzzles me that so much people would throw so much hate and anger over story on the internet, it bogs my mind that some would take it to the extreme. I also notice that you are taking a step toward the "The Conversion Bureau" group in helping to keep it organized and a "safe place" from such trolls. I been trolled and burned before, so I have an idea of how it feels.
I look foward to your future artwork and stories,
Respectfully,
Your Fan,
Rye (Rye_B_P on FIMfiction.net)

This is from a Q&A dealio with Lauren:
Q: Were Celestia and Luna born as alicorns?
A: In my book, yes
Q: Also, are they gods in your book?
A: No, but extremely magical and powerful.
I was just curious to hear your thoughts on that.

Aealacreatrananda In reply to DelusionsofGranduer [2013-05-06 22:15:10 +0000 UTC]
Lauren Faust is not a stupid woman. She would be crucified if she so much as hinted that Celestia and Luna were deities. She would be accused of being a Pagan at best (Oh! Horrors!) and blasphemous at least. This would instantly destroy her career, ending any hope of further series. Can you imagine the Christian backlash if she said Celestia was a god?
Artistically, though, you can get away with painting her as one. Wink and a nod, say no more. Seriously. Say no more. Ever.
Faust also cannot tell the truth openly about how Hasbro fucked her over, or about how they broke their contract with her. She cannot speak about any of that, for fear of similar consequences.
You will never, ever, ever hear any person in media say anything that would destroy their career, break a nondisclosure agreement, or otherwise get them in trouble.
I certainly was forced to follow such rules in my career.
But I am retired now, so FUCK THE RULES.
Perhaps, one day, long after Faust retires, we may hear some interesting things. Someday. Maybe. Maybe.

I do not understand, and here is why:
Deities are brought up in fiction constantly, but it didn't ruin Tolkien's story. Tons of fantasy novels out there involve pantheons of gods, or even just one, and often those get turned into movies, some of them get turned into series, and the mythology doesn't get them into trouble at all.
For the most part, it seems like even Christians are willing to separate reality and fiction when they take their little ones to see the next Thor movie, or Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
I had no idea you 'worked' in the industry though! That's pretty neat. What was your job, if that's not too personal a question?
"Perhaps, one day, long after Faust retires, we may hear some interesting things. Someday. Maybe. Maybe."
That or pony fart jokes, it's a 50-50 split >.>

The central issue is audience. The Lord Of The Rings was not written for children in any regard. But the intended audience for My Little Pony is 12 year old girls. That adults watch it is nearly irrelevant to Hasbro, the culture at large, and the rather restrictive rules constraining the content of programming designed for children.
Understanding this, everything becomes clear.
