Hey, that's good. They certainly blocked it at my high school. Well, I'm not on very often because I'm busy, but I'll see you around.

Ha-ha, thanks I've been updating the site all day. If you look on the Downloads page, she's in the imagemap with the download link when you click on her. Feel free to take the image and add it to your .ZIP file. All you need to do is put it in the shell folder and rename the file "thumbnail.pnr" and it should work.
The only page left that's not even up yet is the About page. I'm not really sure exactly what I should say. I'd hate to sound like I know what I'm talking about and then be wrong. LOL

I understand quite a bit about how it runs, the way the application works, the systems it doesn't work on, the various reasons why the script won't run properly, how the development interface works, etc etc. But all the extra stuff like the e-mail, IM client and the like, I have no idea how to use. I just disable it in my shells.
I'm not going to work on it again until tomorrow or Tuesday though, I have another project and a Chinese Test to study for.

XD Yeah I have no idea how that works either.
And is Chinese harder than Japanese, from what you know?
And and and, can you speak Chinese fluently or close to it? owo

I think that Chinese and Japanese each have their difficulty pros and cons. In Japanese, you need to know three character systems (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji), while in Chinese you really only need to know Simplified Hanzi nowadays. Of course, Japanese can be broken into syllables and learned that way, while Chinese is more like "know this word or don't know it", there's no pronunciation guide. Also, Japanese requires you to know a LOT of different words; of course Chinese has a lot of words but many of them are the same word pronounced different ways.
In Japanese, you learn Romaji -> Katakana and that's your pronunciation guide.
In Chinese you learn a system called "pinyin" for pronunciation. Then it's just a matter of matching pronuncation to word to meaning to character. It sounds harder than it really is.
I'm no where near fluent. You have to know at least 2500 characters to be able to read the front page of the newspaper- I know around 550 total (maybe a few more). But I'm planning to spend next summer in China, so I'll probably learn another 1000+ just from living there.

Japanese is also easier than it sounds, too. For me remembering Hiragana, reading, and writing it is no problem. I'm a visual learner. XD And I can read some Katakana, and write just a few from memory. In Japanese it takes a lifetime dedication to learning and memorizing kanji, and I'm guessing it's the same with Chinese.
You're gonna go to China? You should tell me about it then when you get back. I want to go to Japan someday, but I don't know when I'll ever get the opportunity (or money) to go. And 1000+? o.o I guess being in the actual country is one of the best ways to learn a new language.

Ha-ha, the tricky part is that Kanji and Hanzi are the same characters, but usually are said totally different ways. Most of the time they mean the same thing, but not always. Usually simple, common words are the same.
女子 - jo shi in Japanese, if I remember correctly, but nu zi in Chinese.
That sort of thing.
I've definitely heard that total immersion is the fastest and most efficient way to learn- and being tossed into China knowing almost no Chinese is definitely total immersion! And sure, if I ever actually make it over there I'll most definitely keep a blog and a picture album and all sorts of stuff like that. It'll be so exciting.
