I'm sorry to reply so late, as college is keeping me busy. I haven't flown IL-2 for a while because I left my joystick at home, but I should get back into it in November.

And yes, I am a pilot, and I do flying IRL. I've flown Cessna 150s, 172s, Piper Archers and Arrows. I hold private pilot/instrument rated and currently have around 100 hours flight time. I am also currently doing commercial pilot training out of Salt Lake City International Airport.

Quite the flyer aren't you? That is awesome! I am joining the Air Force for a matter infact, but it will be a while.
I go flying every 1 or 2 or 3 weeks, or 4, or 5, around about those weeks XD (Depends on the weather really). I'm an air cadet, I'm in a gliding and powered flying club, that is "Ace Aviation Masterton", at Ace Aviation I mostly fly the PA22 Piper (with an instructor of course, I'm still rather younge), I've flown Cesnas a few times aswell from another Aerodrome with my uncle.

Well your future career definitely seems to have some interest. I love military aircraft, but I'm not the person to sign my life away to them. That's just me.. But hey, do what you love! Never stop, and definitely good luck to you to. One of my best friends is actually in the Air Force academy right now, I still talk to him often. Maybe you'll be going there yourself one day.

As Shelbs has already pointed out, the SAS site has what you need... Unless you need something else. You gotta be a bit more specific.

To get mods working in general, you have to have the latest IL-2 patch (4.09m) and the SAS mod activator on the site you were linked to.

well it's a mod i found out on youtube...people say it works but i dont know how to install it...i asked the creator and im still awaiting his/her response...can i give you the link of the video so that you can help me out a little?

No matter what the mod is, you will still need the mod activator. The activator is required unless your game will not read a single one of them.

I've also seen a million mods on youtube; 80% of which come from the SAS website.

Yes, and it is a waste of money.

How people expect to make a SIMULATOR on a game station is beyond me. It may be made by the same guys, but it will only be probably for arcade purposes.

Because I don't see how you can expect to have controls for all the complex systems you need to look over in your aircraft with only 6 buttons on your controller... It won't be a sim, just a normal game. And the PC version would be much better.

I completely agree. they shouldn't make something like that for a console. It just completely degrades realism. I hope they make a PC version. It'd be a heck of a lot better

They are making a PC version. Maddox is currently working on IL-2's replacement.
