Hello...
A new group has started its journey in DeviantArt ... The group is called Traditional-Masters and is a group for traditional artists who want to publicize their works and know the works of other traditional artists ..
At the moment we are very few because it has just opened the group, but without a doubt we will grow and we will form a great community ... It would be an honor to have your presence in the group ... If you are interested, please sign up and you will be welcome...
Regards ...
Traditional-Masters

Can't believe I haven't seen your work until now.. You're an inspiration man. The amount of detail and effort in your drawings, especially the ones of trees just blow my mind. Keep doing what you're doing, I look forward to seeing more! ^_^

Armin, your work continues to amaze and inspire me as a graphite artist myself. You are able to capture in your work the details that make a viewer believe one is actually looking at the subject itself, not just a photograph of it. The way you are able to capture the textures of hair, skin, tree bark, snow, etc. is just phenomenal to me. I had the opportunity to see some of your pieces in person at Studio 23 in Bay City a few years ago and I remember just standing and admiring the way you captured even the stray fibers of a knitted shirt in one of your pieces! Do you have any advice for graphite artists on how to transition from photorealism to achieving greater depths of realism in their drawings? I work almost exclusively from photos when I draw and I know many of the details are lost to the camera and printer this way. I’d greatly appreciate any insight you can give!

I feel as if your work is a reminder, to the bulk of the artists on this site, how much study and practice with the elements and principles is important. I believe many of us do not realize, or even forget, just how much work is involved in art.
With that being said, I have seen many realists in my time involved in the arts, but your work is beyond the greatest I think I have ever witnessed. Your attention to detail and texture blows my mind and is very inspiring.
It's amazing to see the result of many years of practice and discipline within art. My hat is off to you, sir.

thank you so much that's very kind. If my work stands out in realism and that's an "if" it would have to be because i spent my first ten years out of art school as an abstractionist. This was an amazing time but i had to go to my natural artistic language one of realism....thank you again...Armin

I came back to DA after an absence of more than a decade (have had a few different accounts here). One thing that hasn't changed: Your Jedi mastery of the pencil. With enough practice the rest of us can hope to, at best, achieve maybe a third of your skill.

They are honest words, sir.
If I can pay for it & attend the next time he holds one, I'd like to attend one of J.D. Hillberry's courses. I can shade okay & put down layers, but my work is amateurish compared to Hillberry's as well as yours...got a ways to go.

Hello, this might be a bit of a random comment but I hadn't logged in to DeviantArt in around four years when it came to my head today. I thought I would log back in and I instantly remembered your art. It must have been at least ten years since I first saw something of yours and I was stunned by it. Yours were the first truly 'realistic' graphite drawings I had seen and I knew that is what I wanted to aspire to. I'm 23 now and I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to work on my drawing all those years ago. Looking through your work now everything is just as beautiful as I remember it. I have a feeling 15 year old me may have left a comment on here and I just wanted to let you know that even after all these years, your work is what I think of when someone mentions art.

Happy belated birthday wishes, Armin. You do beautiful graphite work. (Your photographs are not shabby either!) It is no wonder it takes so long for you to complete a drawing. I cannot imagine myself working on any drawing or painting that long. Since I am heading toward my 85th birthday ( the last day of July), I expect I do not have a whole lot of time to spend on anything. Thank you for the DA

Jojemo 85 come on that’s nothing...well it is but you could have twenty great years of making art someone that’s 30 might not have that long. Anyway DA is full of twenty somethings it nice to see someone of your age and mine to show that art is a lifetime endeavor and it never wanes ….and thank you for you kind wishes Armin
