Well. That's your opinion and everyone one has there own opinion. But it doesn't mean you have to go saying it to the artist. Have you ever heard of keeping things to yourself ? Also watch yourself somethings you say can hurt people's feelings. Just because the character has cuts, and a nail baseball bat doesn't mean there edgy. For example if you have a character that has cuts, Does that make them edgy? Hmm, think about it before you say something.

Eh, by cynical, I mean that I'm mostly pretty bad at pointing out good things in art, so I gravitate towards art that I can point out a lot of problems in. And also that I like helping new artists instead of more experienced ones.
And just in case you're wondering, this is the only account I have. I have no intentions of submitting art ever, since I don't really enjoy art enough to do it outside of schoolwork.
EDIT: About the old art pieces critiques, I just browsed through the DA critique galley, so I didn't have any kind of ordering in that. So that's probably the reason why some critiques are outdated

Cynical: "believing that people are motivated by self-interest" or "concerned only with one's own interests and typically disregarding accepted or appropriate standards in order to achieve them." I feel as though if you really wanted to help budding artists you'd be more constructive you're all negative, I don't suggest you become a teacher of any sort. Thanks for point out that "Cynical" isn't the best descriptive word for myself, I haven't bothered to check it before now. I think that just calling myself generally negative is a better descriptive statement.

I mostly critique art that has a lot to improve on and a lot to work on, since I'm better at being cynical and noticing many flaws instead of looking for positive aspects.
Anyways, thanks for being the first compliment on how someone critiques art pieces I've ever seen.

It's great to see that people like you go out of your way to find improving artists and give them a little nudge in the right direction~
Most people with critiques are way to afraid to point anything flawed out in art, and that really doesn't always help an artist out, not saying that compliments shouldn't be a thing though.
And anytime~ I love being able to see deviantart having people who understand what a real critique is.

It is a pet peeve of mine of people being too soft and non confrontational on the internet. A big part of the internet is that it allows you to do and say stuff like that without any worry of normal social pressure or adverse reaction.

Yeah, it's nice being able to give people tips, but sometimes it goes to far. Although I like how you are able to not be offensive in the ways you give out information. Most people, when trying to give out serious critiques, either take it to far or don't take it far enough. It is nice to be able to use the internet in a way that you aren't able to in real life, because you won't have people who know you hawking around you for doing something QwQ

I think it looks fine- plenty of artist do it, so i followed in suit to see if it was to my liking - and it is. Not to mention a lot of comics i read as a kid had those eye styles so *shrugs*
