Inspirations: Hibiki Kame, Hibiki Yoite, Hibiki Takumi - all for varying reasons:
- Hibiki Kame - for his emphasis on individuality, as uniqueness is something very important to Eiko
- Hibiki Yoite - due to his stones being secret. She wants to know much more about him, as the mystery draws her in. Stones aren't usually a secret, so to Eiko, it would be something worth finding out about. In a way, she just wants a question answered, and aspires to be someone people want to know more about.
- Hibiki Takumi - for becoming a clean head so young, as he's only a few years older than her. She admires and respects him, though she's never met him.
Life Goals: Get her third stone, live a long lifelive forever
Personality:
Eiko is generally a chatterbox and speaks her mind, not one to usually come with a filter - but she's probably got an eye on your wallet - so don't be surprised if you're missing an earring or some ryo. While she is a thief, if you ask her to return it, she'll probably oblige. She does turn it into a game, however, trying to barter or get away with it when she can. She'll try to see just how much she can get away with before someone notices or asks for their belongings back. She loves to go out, have fun, and buy new things for herself and her wardrobe, and is constantly looking for new things to try. She loves to learn, and while she can be pretty selfish, she does like to learn about other people and their experiences - she loves to find out what makes people unique, as individuality is something she holds in high regard. Going out for tea is a common thing for her to do, but she also hangs around bookshops and theaters. She does, generally, have ulterior motives to most of her actions, so if she does something nice for you... she's probably going to ask you for something in return later. She loves asking people for favors, and has no problem doing so - especially if she feels that you owe her. She has absolutely no qualms trying to figure out what makes you tick and what you can do for her, and will absolutely ask for favors even if she doesn't necessarily need it. She tries to use her looks to her advantage, even if she can just barely reach something she'll probably ask for help - either out of sheer laziness or trying to hide the fact that she's trying to steal something while your back is turned.
She's generally very blunt but flirtatious, and generally plays coy when trying to get what she wants. She has no shame in others buying her things, and while she isn't always as generous with her money, if she uses it on you she'll most likely try to steal it back later. She doesn't really have much shame to begin with, but especially so when trying to get others to pay for her or give her presents - though if you do give her a thoughtful gift, she will remember, and she'll pay you in kind. Perhaps not right away, of course, but she prefers and tends to stick around the more generous people she finds. If she can get something out of it, she'll sure as hell be there.
She does not generally enjoy silence, she finds the quiet to be eerie after too long. She prefers the bustle of people to the sound of a pin dropping - to her, silence is like death, whereas noise is life. If it's quiet too long, she's absolutely going to find a way to make a little noise, whether it be asking you thousands of questions to see what makes you tick, or playing with the rings she wears on her fingers, or even the stones she wears proudly. She does not feel the need to sit in silence unless absolutely necessary.

Backstory:
Eiko was born to two parents who desperately wanted children, but were only lucky enough to have twins - herself and her brother, Sayohiko. They were glad even to have one child - let alone two - and thus named her after their single stroke of luck and wish for longevity; her brother after precious gems. Due to this, she was given a single red, braided cord by her mother as a child, that she always keeps in her hair or incorporates somehow into her clothing - it's her favorite possession, aside from her stones, of course. Her brother has a similar one given to him by their father. She grew up quite close to Hiko, essentially glued at the hip - the pair went everywhere and did everything together, and she wouldn't have it any other way. Where her brother is always trying to make a quick buck, Eiko would always act as his hype man - trying to sell ice to eskimos, so to speak. The pair definitely enjoyed their games and their sales, splitting the profit every time. The only time the pair reverse their role is when it comes to selling anything Eiko paints, in which Hiko is the one trying to sell them to anyone who may be interested.
Though closest with her twin brother, she is still close with her parents as well. Due to her parents having trouble conceiving, their family is quite tight-knit, and this has caused Eiko to find family important - she aims to make her clan proud due to it. She wouldn't say she's closer with either parent, however, and gets along with both quite swimmingly. They blessed her with a gold stone to encourage charisma and charm in her - something she greatly appreciates as well as something her parents found to be very important - and added her own red stone when she got older. Red happens to be her favorite color, and as someone as extroverted and independent as Eiko is, she would like to think having great willpower comes with being someone who marches to the beat of her own drum. She prides herself on her own uniqueness with her sense of style and her ability to paint, so she feels she definitely made the right decision. She also finds the fact that she's a twin to be interesting to herself as well as others, and always mentions her brother even if he's not around. While the two do differ, she thinks its pretty neat to have grown up with someone so closely, and always had a sibling around - she doesn't like the quiet, and luckily for her, she never had to worry about it in their house.
Eiko chose to become a shinobi not merely due to her clan, however - but rather so she wouldn't be bored. And besides, she and Hiko could find more people to sell paintings and knick-knacks to if they went to school, right? A client base was important, but so was having fun. And who knows, maybe she'd meet people with cool stories to tell or cool things to takeshare. She'd rather live an interesting life, and if she's every going to get her third stone, hell, she'll have to find a way. Plus, it's much easier to find inspiration for her paintings if she travels and meets new people - she's always tried to remain optimistic and looks for the bright side in everything, even if it's only because she believes in a little luck. As painting is quite important to her, it's something she tends to talk about a lot, since it's part of what makes her, well... her. It's something as important to her as her stones and the braided cord she keeps in her hair, and being unable to do so would be like taking away a piece of herself, just as refraining from speaking of her brother would be like taking away a portion of her identity.
Now at 19, Eiko hopes to someday earn a green or purple stone, though she thinks the green would be something more achievable for herself. She hopes to live a long and prosperous life, living as long and as well as she can with her family by her side - whether it be her immediate or the family she starts with someone else some day. She hopes that she can make her clan proud, but not without having a little fun along the way.
She also has a list of things she wants to steal, including the charms from an Asukai weapon, Kitsune's jade beads, and even a Shirogane's rose. Her favorite thing she's stolen, however, was a pair of earrings from a Main House Asukai when she was 16. They never even noticed.
