This is a Korean celebrities crossover with Avatar characters. Not a culturally/ethnically accurate portrayal.

This is what happens when an Avatar fan is also a kpop/kdrama fan. ^___^
It's been nearly half a year since my KpopKdrama crossover as Legend of Korra characters and I've been dying to do the AtLA series.
For this series, the characters will be released in order of their appearance in the show (except for zuko, he's my bias and will be reserved for the end).
So of course to start us off, WE HAVE OLDER KATARA!
For the main gaang, i wanted them in their older gaang outfits that Mike&Bryan did. -> images6.fanpop.com/image/photo…
Katara is played by Korean actress Shin Min Ah. Most notably known for her acting as Miho in "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho" and Arang in "Arang and the Magistrate". It took me a while to figure out who would work best for an older, more mature Katara probably in her late 20s.
Originally, Shin Min Ah was my second choice. At first i thought Kim Ha Neul would make a good Katara but she looked too old in my eyes. Then I tried to look at Wonder Girls' Sunye but her head shape didn't seem like Katara. And then i bumped into SNSD's Yoona but she looked too young. So eventually, i headed back with Shin Min Ah. She just has the balance between youth and maturity, a motherly look but still a powerful young woman much like the characters she played. I chose to put Shin Min Ah in older Katara's outfit because I haven't truly drawn them yet and they just look so epic in the new outfits.
