The Four main character classes from AfterWars
From Left to Right

Soldier

They are mostly troops who were left behind in the withdrawals of
the army to their strong holds. Some are deserters.
Most are fighting to protect the community who took them in.
Many soldiers feel abandoned or betrayed by their military.
They tend not to take much responsibility in leading raids
but they are professional and loyal.
Their ability with guns and other firearms is second to none.
The marksman or markswoman of the groups.

Runner

Young men and women who are still in training.
They are primarily used as couriers and messengers
between settlements and neighborhoods.
Many are not old enough to remember how the war started.
They are inexperienced in combat but they make up
for it in their knowledge of their surroundings.
When they are not in training or on other duties
many spend time aimlessly exploring the city.
Often kids and orphans given a family by the gangs.
These gangers act as advanced scouts and act
as hit and run skirmishes in a pinch.
The scout and cherished younger sibling of the groups.

Guerilla

Fighters who specialize in stealth and urban warfare.
The majority of them are people who never went to the front lines,
choosing instead to protect their cities.
Like the soldier, they were at one point in the military.
They are methodical in their thinking and planning.
They spend most of their time training others in combat and survival.
They move in and start beating on anything in their way.
The heavy brute of the groups.

Scavenger

Their former professions ranged from mechanics, builders,
chefs, teachers and I.T. professionals.
They are more community minded then the guerrilla or soldier.
By using their knowledge of traps and devices, they act as scouts
for their colleagues.
The 'thinker' of the groups.
