Description
So i have been in Munich Germany for about a month and a half now. I was bored out of my mind sitting in the hotel room trying to motivate myself to go outside and walk around when all of a sudden i see a flash then hear a loud sound, thunder and lightning. I grabbed my camera, tripod, and a towel and went outside, two hours later i came back to the hotel completely soaked. Yet it was well worth it, this to me is one of my favorite photographs i have ever taken, just to have to the two sides be complete opposites. Their is no post processing done to this photo except for Converting From raw to .jpg in photoshop.Related content

Excellent shot.
The lights from the street work really well to help give the field a bit of detail and depth, as opposed to being a fathomless darkness.
And, as you mentioned, the contrasts between the yellow, warm lights of the street and the blue/purple of the lightning is really great too.

Awesome shot, lightning os one of the most difficult things to photograph. I find the yellow light from the road a little distracting - perhaps you could desaturate it, change the hue or darken it a little, this would also increase the focus on the stunning lightning
