This could have two meanings: It is a fantastical entity that guards an entrance to the Realm of Dreams ...or
It's me, an ordained Gothi, under a bedsheet.
As I am a fan of HPL's Dreamlands stories almost as much as I am a fan of Heathenism (my faith) both are true. And they describe both the concept and stock images.
*This is another I've put off submitting for a long time.

Ohh, I'm glad you submitted it! I love that face, seems to be friendly in a creepy way. He has a sort of grin to his mouth. And the eyes seem to welcome you. I like the title. I can see him at the gates of my dreams. Nicely done, great detail and background!
