Occupation:
Team Frou leader along with Minerva Auvray.
Town of Residence: Lumiose City
Appearance:
Average figure, Ferro carries neatly combed, sideswept two-toned steel grey hair that makes an almost spike-like shape to the right side of his head, and grey eyes. He walks proudly in an upright posture and doesn't slump. His clothing goes with the rest of his appearance-- very linear, proper and monochrome-schemed as he rarely if ever wears anything bright or colorful.
His neutral face is that of slight disapproval, and it usually only gets worse when dealing with people. He doesn't smile in public, or if he does, it's usually because of irony or schadenfreude.
He usually wears a turtleneck sweater with a vest of some kind on top, accompanied with a long coat with upturned collars. Almost always wears gloves in public.
He also has a separate pair of gloves which have embedded metal talons attached to the fingers.
One can only wonder what those are meant for.
Height: 5'10"
Personals
Personality:
Ferro is overally extremely prejudiced and negative about almost everything in the world. He's extremely uptight and conservative, scrunching his nose at the more liberal people who differ from society, gender or other kinds of norms as he sees it as simply idiocy. He borderlines on homophobic which furthers his disapproval of the majority of the people he comes in contact with, especially the younger folk. He has no patience for loitering or goofing around and is not afraid of stating his harsh opinions straight at the recipient, even in public if he so sees fit. He's notoriously good at offending people and more often than not does not regret his doings. Hard to humor and easy to upset, he's not exactly what people would call friend material.
On the other hand he's well educated for a pokehuman his age and has an interest for the human culture in terms of literature, art, economy and history. Not that he cares much about the actual humans, but the society, it's structure and development fascinated him to a point where he can usually be found either reading or walking around the city in his pastime.
History:
Ferro was bred in captivity into a line of hunting birds, trained from a hatchling to serve upper class humans in their entertainment and as a part of their hobby. As he knew nothing else he simply followed the regime, spending most of his life blindfolded and caged until the time came to embark on another trip to catch and retrieve mons of prey to his owner along the other birds in the flock. His life continued on a rather monotone scale as he spent most of his time in the dark, to be brought into a site and expected to do his job only to be pacified with a hood again and taken back to his 'home'.
That is, until one night a gang of burglars broke into his owners home and along other valuables, took most of the birds with them.
Again, Ferro had no idea where he was as him and the other stolen pokemon were kept in a remote warehouse, waiting to be sold onto new people through whatever means it would take to profit from the animals. It took several weeks before surprisingly, a police raid struck the place, whisking the mons off yet again into the unknown as they were taken into police custody to try and locate the owners.
In Ferro's case, this never happened. As a distinctive mark of the identity of the owner lacked and it'd been so long since the initial crime had happened, no one ever reclaimed him. After some consideration, the police decided to set the pokemon free into the wild and leave them to their own devices. Not having the faintest of clue where he'd come from or what he was supposed to do with his newfound freedom, Ferro resorted to what he did best-- hunting smaller pokemon and sustaining himself. He became a slight nuisance to the people around him, killing lifestock and sometimes even whisking away pets as he lived without any set purpose in his life.
This eventually led to contact with one of the pokehuman gangs as he'd settled in an area full of wildlife and some oddly sentient and agile pokemon that were harder to try and catch. Eventually the Skarmory was approached by a human, who oddly enough did not want anything from the bird other than talk. With his interest piqued by the woman's strange words and implications that she too was, somehow, a pokemon, the bird followed her to a more remote site, finding out that the woman was indeed a Mienshao.
She presented the steel-type with an offer he had a hard time comprehending at first. Help the cause of her group and assist in whatever goals they might see fit, working with her and other pokemon as a team. In return, be granted the same chance as she'd demonstrated earlier, to be able to become a human and live among the human society as an equal.
It took a while of thinking, but eventually he agreed.
That was the first time he met Minerva.
Having now worked for Frou for a couple of years now, the transition from a human's tool to a pokehuman went rather smoothly in the end with the help of the Frou personnel around him, and eventually other pokehumans as well. After the initial lessons of getting used to hands and learning the basics of the human workings he started contributing into the gang, climbing up on the ladder along with the woman who'd first recruited him, and who he'd befriended along the way.
As he stands now, he's content in his career and his current place in the organization. Happy to take care of the tasks required of him, he continues to pass his own share of knowledge and experience to the new Frou recruits.
FAST FORWARD: Ferro is now the Co-leader of Frou, along with Minerva.
EDIT// Being ambushed on his way to the office in Anistair, Ferro has been converted into an Umbral pokemon.
EDIT2// Having been caught and purified, Ferro's no longer on shadow ranks and is now back in business.
Relationships:
Cyril - Team Frou leader, Ferro considers him superior from a professional point of view, but otherwise thinks the (outwardly) young Dusclops is pretty much an utter child. Assists him whenever he needs though, and doesn't harbor any real ill will against him.
Ferros views on Cyril have not actually strengthened over time since the CEO of Frou is largely absent, lately having disappeared completely without any notice. He doesn't know where the ghost is, but sure wants to give him a piece of his mind when, or if, he returns.
Minerva - Former assistant colleague and now one of the leaders he works under, Minerva is Ferro's best friend and he considers her one of his only family members. She's one of the few people to whom he displays a different side-- when dealing with the Mienshao he's rarely upset and usually quite neutral, even happy. Considers her to be the purpose why his work is meaningful in the gang and a reason to keep doing what he does. However, he can get strongly overprotective over her, to the point where his existence by her side could be seen as hindering or even annoying.
Kindle - An ex-leader of Frou, Ferro harbors somewhat of a discomfort towards the aloof Drowzee and his carefree attitude. Although he's older than Cyril, the Skarmory doesn't acknowledge him as an adult and rather refers to him as a brat.
Rowan - Starting from loathing and moving onto somewhat forced tolerance, Ferro went into the extent of letting Rowan stay under his roof after the Rufflet needed a place to spend the night. The two slowly and somewhat unexpectedly became friends- and on from that, ended up in a somewhat complicated relationship. Ferro hasn't been sure of is feelings about, or for Rowan for the longest time, but as the year changed and things took their course, he's more set on accepting the fact that he cares for her as a significant other.
Yali - Small knife. Young knife. The smaller Skarmory crashed into his window one day and got her wing busted up so she had to stay on the ground. During the time she's spent around his home, Ferro's taken somewhat of a liking to the adolescent metalbird.
Eclair - One of the Ursa leaders, Ferro isn't actually fond of the Slurpuff. She annoys him and he makes no attempt in hiding his discomfort most of the time. However, when it is required he is able to tolerate her, and share a conversation and information with the woman without constantly rolling his eyes or scrunching his nose. It's not much, but it's something.
Mercer - One of his employees, Ferro considers Mercer to be mainly a lost cause in most aspects of life. He's developed somewhat of a barrier to deflect most of the Kecleons sleazy and downright annoying advances and attempts to make him lose his cool, but deep down Ferro knows Mercer is capable in his field of work. He's is ready to give the lizard credit where credit is due. And a fist in the face, wherever that's due.
Gil - Ferro met the man during the New Years festivities-- the next day after seeing him get kicked in the head by his colleague. He doesn't have much of an opinion on the man, but he seems like a reasonable, although aloof kind of person.
Keyah - Somewhat annoying child. Ferro is suspicious of her breaking his phone during new years, but unfortunately couldn't place the blame correctly under lack of evidence. The Kirlia and her somewhat unsure outlook annoys him to the point where he'd rather not deal with her at all.
Sunny - Demonspawn. Please keep at a reasonable (very long) distance at all times.

Extras:
-Ferro suffers from a crippling fear of dark due to his past of spending most of his life blindfolded/hooded and in complete darkness save for occasional hunting trips. If left alone in the dark he'll quickly become disoriented and hasty with his actions, soon resulting in panic and an overwhelming feeling of helpessness. Even his own home quickly turns into unknown terrain and he bumps into walls and other things in a search for some kind of light source. Even when sleeping, he has some kind of light on by his bed, and in addition always carries a flashlight in his bag wherever he goes. Does not tolerate people covering his eyes in any sort of manner, especially by surprise.
-Is, however, not the least bit afraid of voicing his opinions of things (and people) aloud even in public. If he has a problem with you or sees a fault in you, you can count on the fact that he'll let you know.
-Among other forms of cultural research, he's picked up dancing as a pastime hobby. It's also proved useful in case there's a need to represent in formal events, so he tries to somewhat keep up the habit.
-At first from acknowledging papers and later as pretty much a running gag in the frou circles, he carries stamps with him with varying degrees of acceptance/rejection which he uses to smack the people he finds most irritating.
It's rumored there is one saying 'acceptable', but it has not been seen since they first appeared.
-Although he's composed and somewhat nags about proper behavior to other mons, he has a bad habit of smoking. However, he never smokes inside as he's aware of how easily the smell sticks to the furniture.
