Description Winona: a love poem to wine

{ Winona }

Winona Winona,
wheel of my travels,
my vehicle of dreams,

i have broken laws to find you,
i have broken vows to reach you,
from your house of glass, i free you,
and you run to my lips, like a river,

Winona,

i need your love,
sailing through my veins

even when you're gone,
i can smell your scent,
i can savor you,
i can see you clear,
as if you were here,
touching my fingertips,
and i can feel your warmth,
sometimes cold,
sometimes good,
sometimes bad,

i dwell on the reason why,
i fail to hold you, in my bare hands,
i would carry you to places so far,

i will sing for you,
i would dance, i would fall,
i would cry,i would cheer,
and do the things i fear
i would live for you,
i will live with you,

Winona,

my spirit of charm,

so lost and aging,
so blessed by time,

i wish to find us,
held in my arms,
far away,
walls of glass,

someday,

for every time i tried,
you drip off my hands,

i wonder why,
why you run away,
and hide in places i cant find,

Winona,
my queen, my bride,

when we kiss, i smile,
tonight you're in my nest,
as for tomorrow,
you would have left,

my darling Winona,

i wonder why you hide
when you know,
we've had the best of times...
