Took me a few moments trying to make sense of it. I was expecting it to be looking forward and not away, so I ended up blinking a few times, till my brain resolved the dilemma.

Amazing! He looks like he somehow metamorphosed into stone, and has been standing there so long the moss has grown up on him. (Which is just as well if he's an evil dragon, but very sad if he's not.) Terrific work!
