How did I ever miss this??? Had to wait until I found it in ~291 's gallery...

It's just beautiful and enchanting- the gorgeous white petals, so frail and innocent.

I like the process you described. It takes the photo to a whole new place.

It was an ambro, a plate exposed and then put against a backing to make it a positive image. I painted over the positive image, but not the type of painting you see with oils, was mostly using scrapers and pencil tip brushes. Then I removed the backing and made the plate transparent, then painted a new backing brown/black/white and mixed it against the tin again.

It might sound complicated but my explanation makes it that way, I am not good at explaining things but the whole process took less then a day.

The process is an old one, I worked for a printer who loved to paint his works and then seperate them from the backing, or plate in this case. I do it my own way, because there is no set steps to follow when you do it, just what looks right.

You're amazing. I don't know how you do it. I wish I did, tho, so that I could practice on my own.
