Description
Everyone who knows me knows I love drawing monsters, beasts, creatures, etc. It’s what I truly enjoy drawing. I get to stretch my monster skills with a commission from a friend in college. The setting is some story of hers on an alien world where creatures are massive, and the native humanoid inhabitants are nearly double the height of what we consider normal. The beasts are all true monstrous, and even the herbivores look like if aggravated they will nip off your head with a single snap of their jaws.

There are many in this realm, from multiple canine ones, to huge birds that drill holes into trees to feed on its sap. The three I have depicted below are just a few of the many sketches I have. I don’t know what they are called so for this I just called them The Beast, The Brute, and The Worm.

The Brute: Large, a normal human coming up to its knee. This creature is an herbivore that pulls heavy caravans of cargo from city to city across grasslands, prairies, and deserts. It consumes entire bushes and trees, mowing down everything in its path to feed its huge bulk.

The Beast: Sleek wolf like, a hunter. I didn’t have much parameters for this, other than it was doglike, lived in the mountain areas, and was a bit bigger than a horse. What I added were layering of skin overtop main areas, the layering almost like the stomach scales of a lizard. They glide overtop one another as it walks.

The Worm: Originally stated to be some sort of fish, or sea dwelling creature. It is fed sacrifices if I recall correctly, and devours anything in its path. It is massive, like a great sea serpent, latching onto the side of prey and either swallowing it whole, or if it’s large enough clasping onto it and draining its victim of internal organs and blood. Essentially it’s a giant lamprey, with a massive hunger. I need to tweak it a bit, add some sort of fin down its back or sides to allow it to swim, as of now it would just flop around like a sad little thing.

When I refine a few more ill paste another three to share.
