Description

Krane is a member of the Blackburn Jaegers squadron of Atmos and is the team's carrier pilot, flight engineer and chef. He almost never speaks and keeps as much of his past a secret as possible. However, he has a past that he's been running from for a long time and sometimes the past catches up to us. Years ago, he was a knife thrower in the Terra Neon circus. He and his best friend Rail were recruited into the Cyclonian NightCrawler training program. They excelled at their training and Krane eventually became the leader with Rail as his lieutenant. However, as they went on more assignments, Krane started to dislike what this way of life was doing to him. He tried to leave the NightCrawlers and convince Rail to go with him, but Rail became too seduced by power and he turned on Krane and even took his place as leader of the NightCrawlers. Krane has tried to leave that part of his life behind him, but when his team gets captured by NightCrawlers, Krane is forced to don his old uniform to rescue them.

I honestly don't think I'll ever be able to make a character with no backstory ever. Once I get an idea for it, it just sticks and I can't imagine it any other way. That's how it was with the idea of Krane being an ex-NightCrawler. For our lore, the NightCrawler leader in the series is Rail, Krane's old friend. Once we thought of it, we couldn't stop imagining how awesome it would be. The NightCrawler emblem on his shoulder piece is scratched out deliberately by Krane and he has his NightCrawler skimmer hidden on the Frigate.
