From the gate powerful demons are set free to plague the lands. Ancients tales told of giant creatures in iron clad called ONI, each having its own unique ability to cause suffering and pain. With the joining of the remaining five nations of Exia they were able to muster enough strength, through the use of a combination of magic and technical genius, to drive the demons to the pits they were born. The time of peace quickly ended with the discovery that some ONI could be controlled with the new knowledge of the metal soldiers known as mecha. Brave skilled warriors are sacrificed to link their minds with the minds of the demons, the victor of the mental battle would gain control of the demons body. Now it is up to the ONI pilots to defend their lands and face a new foe.

After many field test the original Primal chest design was causing aerodynamic problems by request of Rygar the chest size a reduced by 10% and aerodynamic designs were implemented. Other new technology allowed for a new hip armor to be installed and new high density low weight parry shields were added to Soren's forearms.
