This photograph seems reminiscent of an Old World oil painting of a Russian Tsarina. The pose of the model is stately and regal, carrying an air of haughtiness, emphasized by the contrast of her eyeshadow with her irises, giving a Victorian/Regency 'Goth' air to the photograph.
I personally find the stray hairs and angular patterns on her collar to be a bit distracting to my eyes, especially with how the collar is broken by her earring. These in no way seriously detract from my appreciation of her technique, especially when observing how well you have kept the whites from clipping.
Having read several of your journals and essays on your personal methods of taking actual photographs and the tools you use, I can really only stand in awe and applaud what you are able to accomplish. Excellent work.

This photo is effective in the use of contrasting, the contrasting in colours (black and white) is effective in the starkness the clothes have against the black background, the design of the clothes is unique and very differant, it defines the uniqness og the whole photo. The models face, looking away from the camera gives of emotion- almost wonderment(i'm a bit undesided with this one). The jewelry is not seen immediatly, so if it were a jewelry advertisment it would not be effective, the gold of the star is noticble immmediatly, but the beads hanging of it are only seen by those trying to catch every detail. The gold make-up on the model is not that great against the stark white of the outfit, i apoligize in saying it doesn't really match, yes it does enhance her eyes, but it doesn't contrast or match so it appears a bit disorded, like the artist/photographer was almost undecided. The contrasting of the outfit grabs the attention of the reciever, so if it was a fashion advertisment then it would be up in the 7+/10. This image is great all in all, i love the outfit and if the outfit was a bit differant, the models make-up and positioning would be great. I love most of your work, hope to do photoshoots like this in the future, after i graduate!

This "swastika" people are seeing is actually the result of the failure to see the grander pattern. I'm sure this amazing piece has nothing to do with Nazism or even the previous things the symbol represents.

I think people are trying to find something to relate to, i noticed that theres where about 10 stars on the models coat, that almost look like they have been placed like a flag(ie. Assue, american). But its good to look for hidden meanings, even if they arent meant to be a hidden menaing or a meaning at all

DΓ©finitely a very beautiful peace of work. Probably the most interesting work of yours for my point of wiew. An very magnificent team work. The make up has a great deal of importance in the intensity of the image theatral drama.
