Description A Draw-To-Adopt Audition for fav.me/d7t3o4m

Name
: Aldis Misae
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Species: Apoc Tiger x Lion
Breed Quality: Common
Ability 1: Illumination - Holy Light can emanate a strong burst of light from the cross-like markings on its shoulders and haunches in order to chase away shadows and blind unsuspecting enemies... thus giving him the chance to go in for the kill with a well-aimed bite. The ability is sometimes used while in human form as well. Hell, if he feels like it, he could even pretend to strip. And when his dedicates are exposed, actually flash before pulling his clothes back on.
Ability 2: ---
Team: Loner
Greatest Fear/Enemy: Aldis, the young Apoc-Liger watched as the others argued with eyes lazily turned to slits under the weight of annoyance. The others were fighting over where to go, what to do next, how to deal with the enemy, what path was best, stupid things that only got on the liger's nerves. Aldis didn't much care, he just wanted to get a move on.

It wasn't as though he disliked sitting still, on the contrary, he loved taking breaks, napping, relaxing, laying out in the sun and just absorbing its warmth... but this, was far from relaxing. With their voices nagging like grating nails, he found himself instinctively baring his teeth and furrowing his brow.

"I said, the enemy is going to take the mountain path to get there, we need to follow them immediately or we'll lose their trail," said a black wolf Apoc who's name escaped Aldis at the moment, what was his name...

The brown deer apoc with green markings laughed, "And walk into a trap? We need to go around. If we hurry, we can cut them off on the other side."

"Not all of us are gifted with supernatural endurance, we can't run all day and night," the wolf responded again, "they're on the run, they're tired, now's the best chance to strike. The longer we waste sitting here arguing, the longer they have to recover!"

"Yeah, and we wouldn't be arguing if you'd just listen to reason. Tired or not, the enemy can turn the tables on us if we're foolish."

There was a audible growl from the liger. The others didn't pay any attention. Their argument dragged on with no clear winner, neither would budge. Aldis resisted the twitch in his eyebrow. Their argument continued. He closed his eyes, wrinkled his brow, gritted his teeth. Their argument, still, continued.

"Enough," Aldis roared, his brands igniting and engulfing the field bathed in the dim light of dusk in a blinding, pure light that made all but the deepest shadows bleach out until white. The liger stood, claws extended, digging into the boulder he'd fallen asleep on. The field was empty, the shadows of his memories chased away with his dreams along with every other animal close enough to hear and see his abrupt awakening. Silence was the overwhelming stillness that slowly broke down as crickets returned to chirping on blades of grass and birds sang to each other of some unheard story.

The young apoc laid down his chin back down on his paw, while placing another over his brow and pressing down angrily, "Damn it..." /I haven't slept well in weeks. Why won't they leave me alone?/((please ignore these "/", I can't figure out why italics won't work properly on DA right this second))

It had been years since the events of that night. They'd decided to split up, Thane had taken the mountain pass, Chaya had taken the way around the mountain. /Right, Thane and Chaya, that was their names.../ Aldis had tried is best to keep them together, but in the end, only drove a wedge to cause their split. He'd decided to stick with Thane, follow him up the mountain pass.

They were ambushed, not just by their enemy, but Chaya who'd tricked them. She'd been working with the enemy the whole time. The plan to have them go around, the argument, the delay, everything. Aldis was young, naive, he didn't know what was going on. They were under attack, claws, fangs, horns, blood, it all blurred together. It wasn't until after he'd drove his dagger length fangs into an apoc's exposed neck that he realized he'd been fighting alone, and had a gash on his hip that was dribbling blood profusely.

He looked around in a panic, he found Thane and Chaya fighting a few yards away, both about to land a killing blow. He panicked, Aldis released another flash of light, blinding both as he dove in and could hear the wet, plunge of something sinking into flesh. His teeth sunk into fur and flesh as he tasted the coppery slick texture roll over his tongue, fill his mouth, and spill out over his lips.

As his senses returned to him once more, Chaya was dead at his feet, his teeth dripping sending short ripples through a puddle that soaked the fur from his elbows down. Thane was a few feet away, covered in just as much blood, but the stab wound on his neck was bleeding aggressively.

It wasn't long before Thane lie dead too. So, Aldis was alone, and here he was having nightmares of that night, as though anguishing over the past would save his comrades from the inevitable fate his dreams always repeated over and over. He could only cling to the present, and hope he'd never have to experience his greatest fear, the loss of a loved one, again.
