Description Hi! These are some brushes that work just great when inking drawings directly in Illustrator. Or, if you have a scanned sketch, you can place it in Illustrator and trace it with these brushes! It reproduces the pens feel of loosing stroke width at the middle of the tracing line.

I hope you find this useful!

CONTENTS

2, 1, 0.75, 0.5 and 0.25 pt brushes.

HOW TO LOAD THESE BRUSHES INTO ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR:

1.- Download the file Inky Pen.ai
2.- Save it into the brushes folder located under Adobe/Adobe Illustrator/Presets/Brushes
3.- Restart Adobe Illustrator (or just open it if it wasn't)
4.- Choose Window > Brush Libraries > Inky Pen
5.- Voilà! The "Inky Pen" set of brushes appear in a new tool window.

HOW TO USE THE BRUSHES

1.- Select the Brush Tool
2.- Make sure "nothing" is set as fill color
3.- Click on the desired brush
4.- Paint with mouse or tablet on your document.

OR

1.- Select a path on which you wish to apply the brush
2.- Make sure you set "nothing" as fill color
3.- Click on the brush of your choice.

Seriously, where are good sources for AI brushes? It's not like PS, where everybody and their grandmother has made brush sets.....

Glad you liked them! Well I actually don't know where to find cool AI brushes. I have never downloaded any but I'm planning on submit more soon, so stay tuned

Un dia de estos lo instalo y me pongo a darle a ver que le encuentro.

Sí fíjate que yo era igual. Sabía manejar el photoshop pero le tenía miedo al Illustrator. Sólo que en la chamba "tenía" que usarlo, así que nomás empecé a picarle y pues está igual de sencillo. En realidad estoy más enfocado a los pixeles pero siempre vas a necesitar información vectorial en la mayoría de los diseños. Que no te coman el mercado!

Y ahora voy a empezar a entintar mis dibujos con el illustrator en vez de con tinta, porque la neta tengo mal pulso, siempre me pongo nervioso al entintar y la cago. Además tengo poca oportunidad de hacer dibujos grandes, y cuando quiero hacer un poster tengo que estar sacrificando mucho detalle. Como ya me cansé de eso, ahora lo entinto en illustrator y ya lo puedo crecer al tamaño que sea sin que se pixelié

Eso si es bien cierto. El que yo he usado para vectorizar es el Corel, pero como todo lo hago de forma autodidacta me desesperaban ciertas cosas, jajaja, siempre he sido flojo para estudiar.
Ahora para vectorizar uso el Moho, se supone que mas bien es para animaciones flash, y obviamente esta mas limitado que el Illustrator pero me gustó precisamente por la sencillez, y ademas no tuve que chutarme el libro
Mira este la linea la hice ahi [link] y el color en el photoshop.
Pero tendre que aprender a usar el illustrator, no vaya a ser que derepente salga una chamba grande y "en la madre".
