I actually only realized after starting this piece how similar yet dissimilar these two are. Katara is selfless, and healing while Azula is selfish, and destructive. They both honor they're respective cultures and also both dedicated themselves to the art of bending. I guess it's credit to the writing team - you could really mix any two Avatar characters together and get a good story out if it.
Though, the true opposite test is too see if Azula likes papaya fruit. ;3

Oh yea... own the whole series and have watched it soooo many times.... not a fan of Korra though... but that's another story... recently rewatched it all too... and I never thought of the contrast between Katara and Azula.... really nice there.

Really? That's pretty awesome!!!! Yea, for me it was the opposite and man, I was really looking forward to Korra, then showing Ang and the gang as grownups, finishing left open story lines, like Zuko's mom, etc... Thankfully I think I was able to find out through something else..but I've completely forgotten... I could swear I remember watching something... gods, I hope I didn't start watching it and forgot. @,@ Any way, to see Ang long gone, the changes, How the story line had Korra destroy the avatar line... noooooooooooooo... so mad, lolol! This is fabulous! I like how you put them both in the fire nation outfits, it helps you to see the similarity between the two better. The poses are so dynamic and full of motion! I like how you gave the background some shading too, you don't really see it at first but it helps with the movement of the piece. Β

I love it, its got a lot of energy, but the way that skirt sits on Katara is slightly off, if it were indeed like that, it would fall off entirely. I understand you wanted to show her hips, but the way that skirt sits, it should be on her hips and not below it.Β
Nonetheless, fantastic use of colour and perspective! I love the comparison you make between the two as well! Avatar is one of my favourite series so I really love this piece!
