Description This is a design study for the Murai. A sample representative of the design possibilities for this concept.

Quick Pitch: Knights, Samurai, Saint Seiya, Shadow the Hedgehog, Digimon (WarGraymon, Seraphimon, Ophanimon )

The Murai are the people created by Earth and Fire. They live in grasslands outside the forest

Their height ranges between 4.5 to 7 feet tall. Their eyes are reds to oranges. Their skin hues on dark reds, with their hair colored on reds, with rare yellows. Their hair splits into five points, one top, two side and two bottom. there are various styling options for their hair. the points could be left free standing, either pair, or both could be tied together at their bask, the bottom pair, if long enough can be tied in front, a bow can be tied to the top or any point.  the points can be trimmed shorter, the top point can be trimmed off, or any and all of the five points can be cut off. they can also have long sideburns. their hairline recedes to a point at the center. Males can have a mustache and beards. They have a five digit hands and feet.

The Murai have Military Monarchy, headed by an ArcLord or ArcLady. There are two broad classes, Humbles and Nobles. Humbles are the working class, with Nobles consisting of the administrative and ruling classes. In addition to their peace roles, or Concord, each individual has a combat role, or Discord. Humbles consist of attack, signal, and supply roles, while Nobles hold Command and logistic roles.

Their armor is rather unique. One metal use to forge them is Azure. At a glance, it doesn't seem to be a good material to build anything but jewelry or decorations, as it is soft and malleable. Unable to take any hits. However, with specialized training, Azure metal can withstand a large amount of force. Low ranking soldiers have armor consisting of traditional metal, like iron and steel, since they have not been trained with azure, but there is still a hint of azure to get them used to it. Mid ranking Consul have more azure in their armor. They have trained to use the larger amounts of azure in their armor. High Ranking Lords and Ladys have armor made with high amounts of azure, with some steel for structure, support and light protection. it takes effort to even properly wear it. Part of the maintenance involves treating the armor with blood. for the best effects, the blood of the wearer is used. about a third of the wearer blood is used. This leaves them weakened and needs to recover. The blood of animals can be used but has a reduced effect. During combat, their kills can also be used to replenish the armor.

Murai believe that the Azure metal can be a vessel for life force. When they give their blood to their armor, they are filling it with Life force. An armor with lifeforce is considered alive. They train to connect with the lifeforce inside the armor. It is easiest to use if it was their own, familiar lifeforce, and harder if it an unfamiliar lifeforce. The wearer uses the additional life force to enhance their own performance, better stamina, higher strength, enhance durability. Blows, against the armor deplete the reservoir. When the armor is empty, then only the physical properties of the metal are at play. An empty armor is considered dead, it is easier to replace it than to revive it, but it can be done. Advanced users can fill the armor with a few drops of blood, or none at all. they can directly transfer from themselves to the armor, even from others to their armor. As such every hit they make or take can draw lifeforce from their target to the armor. Advance users can also uses other materials to hold life force, such as the steel used in them. However, other material dont hold as much as azure.
