Description
So there's a funny story behind this picture. I was in a Japanese popular culture class this semester, and after we watched the second Ranma 1/2 Movie (Nihao My Concubine), there were some comments to the teacher that it was the worst thing they had ever seen. Most of the class liked it, myself included, as those who made it actually seemed to care about it (unlike a lot of Ranma and Rumiko Takahasi based stuff). Anyway, the teacher took this as a personal challenge, and brought in the first episode of Wedding Peach to show all of us to put things into perspective. It's message about marriage as it pertains to females can be seen as degrading, and it must have had a budget of like three dollars, but it was not without its charm.

My teacher claims to have watched every episode just for the hell of it, which I can certainly admire. So I drew this for him, printed it out to 18x24 size, and had the entire class sign and give it to him on the day of our final. My intent was to impress and embarrass him, and I think the mission was accomplished.

I rather like how this one turned out, and I won't deny that I almost wanted to keep the print for myself. 10 hours of work over the course of a day, 100% Sai.
