Chief of an African tribe, N'Kantu could do little to stop an Egyptian raiding party from attacking his village and enslaving his people. While working on the pyramids for their new masters, N'Kantu began to organise a rebellion among his people. They were outmatched by the Egyptian forces however, and N'Kantu was taken by the high priest to be made an example of to his people. Paralysed, mummified and cursed, N'Kantu was sealed inside a sarcophagus and buried within the pyramid. Thousands of years later N'Kantu would recover his his hibernation and dug his way out of the pyramid before going on a berserk rampage in Cairo. Eventually recovering his mind, N'Kantu went on a series of journies to try and break his curse but ultimately failed. He would later be found living amongst the Legion of Monsters.
